I'm not very sure what to think about the rest of the results actually. I'm first of all really happy that
Gabriella's voice was apparently well appreciated not only by me, but it's also nice seeing
South Africa and
New Zealand qualifying on the first try each - in the latter one's case only the player's ofc. And
Indonesia being in was such a serious surprise.
I'm often not a fan of the country's entries in here, but Getting over you turned out to be really good.
Russia is a quite predictable finalist imo (and also the only one I dislike.../), whereas I'm not sure in which category
Taiwan fits lol (just because I don't remember it well enough right at this moment).
As for the Wildcard round qualifiers I can't say that I'm disappointed with
Austria
Germany,
Montenegro and
Latvia. Especially
Austria and
Latvia are underrated imo however. I only guess
I got the power isn't enough "contests-friendly", but have no idea on why
Night flier didn't make it directly.
Montenegro's song is a very pleasant surprise qualifier. Were I to know the 4th one would be from Semi 1 my guess wouldn't exactly have been that entry.
As for the non-qualifiers I was only sure at
Turkey being out right away whereas everyone else I thought could stand some chances to qualify somewhere - especially
Costa Rica with it's 80s vibes entry and
Malta. I'm not sure how much I''ll be missing them myself, but as you can see at my top 10 right here there are a couple of non-qualifiers I actually voted for:

All in all I'm not going to complain about it however since I "lost" only 2 of my points.

Just like I wrote in that prediction in here I thought basically all songs I noted down to be automatic finalists - which I personally also wouldn't have been to sad about.
But guess I was very wrong lol.
Talking about the qualifiers, especially
Diodato and
Déborah just had to qualify - with
Mia following tightly, but despite her Dora entry being quite popular I wasn't sure about it's chances since it was still already quite a while ago.
Raiven's participation in the final was always very clear for me, but I didn't know whether it was just me or not that's why I was slightly worried about this entry. I actually remember when listening that despite being in Slovene there was something that I really felt.
Finland's entry is out of this group of songs the one I don't mind the least. A beautiful song, that I first found boring, but then it grow on me and inside my top 10 of Semi 2. The 2 qualifiers left aka
Ukraine and
Canada are the only ones I'm personally not really happy with - despite one of them actually making it (on a low rank) into my top 10 ... Congrats for another direct qualification though.
Out of the 3 groups of entries that made it to the Wildcard round the one from Semi 2 is the worst imo.
Poland is an okay entry whereas I really don't like both
Japan (though very creative!) and
China this edition. But well congrats to all 3 of them.
And finally in the non-qualifiers section I think the only one I always knew was going to place there is
Ethiopia. Also
Serbia was more likely to end up here than anywhere else. But I really like that it was a very different entry and really appreciated Tamara's voice (in fact this was in my top 5). Had the song been leaning a little less towards boring it could've definitely qualified.
Armenia is actually an unpleasant surprise to me. The same goes to
Spain, but in this case it's only partly because I thought this to be a bit weird (sorry for that one). I'm not 100 % sure what people wrote about the entry that took part for
Kyrgyzstan, but I think it was mainly positive (?). For me, myself it was a typical entry that could go either way. Just like I mentioned earlier in the thread it might have been too much like all these K-Pop girl groups - which don't seem to be liked in here apparently (remember that Blackpink second participation with Kill this love also ended right here).
And if I may end this with a comment about
Cuba: It seems like Expectations wasn't too popular among Wwwsc. It's however not
that bad and I can actually seriously imagine Lauren to have qualified at least to the Wildcard round!
This was my top 7 prediction of the second semi final. I apparently "overestimated"
Armenia and
Spain, but luckily still managed to get 5 / 7 correct!

Mexico took part in this semi final with a song that just very recently did highly decently in another contest and was therefore a definite finalist for me - and so were

Greece I'm not too sure whether I should've added it there as well just because I've no idea how that song used to do generally - and if I may say so I'd have preferred if it didn't make it, but well...
The other 3 finalists are okay at best imho. I did hear why
Portugal (welcome back to the final btw.) and
Sweden are both songs I may like, but
Thailand was so not for me. Btw. it's kind of funny that
Thailand made it directly when
Turkey didn't with a similar song, but guess it benefitted from having quite a bunch of people who'd vote for an entry like that.
I don't have much to say about the Wildcard round participants that came out of here. That's mainly because I've no memory of
Far and
On the run. However can we talk about
the Netherlands somehow being only in here for a moment?
Brazil (sorry for that one) and
Azerbaijan were so never going to qualify anywhere imo so can't say these are unexpectedly eliminated. The exactly other way round is
USA imo. It's just like
India (at least a bit) underrated for me ...
Btw. had
Australia not being disqualified I think Bonnie would've passed straight to the final.
the Czech Republic is a very difficult one to make a guess on though I dare to say Gold would've possibly qualified to the Wildcard round.
