IT'S NORAA FOR CHAD!
Nora Abakar, aka Noraa, is a young German-Chadian singer currently living between Cologne and Paris. Her father hails from N'Djamena where Noraa likes to spend time as she grew up listening to her family jam on the guitar to the sounds of Chadian music. Noraa loves to travel the African continent, hence she is more than excited to fly to Burkina Faso for the upcoming edition of OAFSC. The talented singer-songwriter co-wrote the Chadian entry, "Lie To Me", together with Carlos McKinney, George Reid, Jonny Hockings and Timothy Bullock. Her first single is a springboard for Noraa's interesting take on love that is both cynical and dramatic, beautiful and scary, honest and unpretentious. Noraa's view can be summed up in the words of her favorite poet Charles Bukowski, "find what you love and let it kill you". A promising start for the future R&B superstar which is ready to share her deepest thoughts with all the African viewers. "LIE TO ME"

Burkina Faso Entry Reveal!RTB are proud to present the 2nd representative and host entry for Burkina Faso. Many singers were evaluated and we have come up with the most suitable singer for this edition. Please welcome....
Nabalüm
Singer-songwriter, Nabalüm sings mainly in Mooré, Malinké and French, and her themes of inspiration are the life of African youth, women or social events in Africa. Very attached to its roots, it tries to give them new wings.
She has had a passion for singing since childhood since she was very young already imitating the music she heard or inventing the melodies born of her inspiration. Having grown up in Abidjan, in the popular district of Koumassi, his penchant for music made Nabalüm an oddity in the eyes of his family and his accounting parents.
At nineteen she won local song competitions and skimmed the café-concerts in the Ivorian capital, forging her arms as an artist. His references are the big names in African music (Ismaël Lô, Fatoumata Diawarra, Lokua Kanza) as well as those of international pop (Adèle, Bruno Mars).
His first EP of 5 titles "Nabalüm" was released on April 2015 in Burkina Faso and his first album "Saké" was released in autumn 2016 (production La Cour du Naaba).
2016 winner of the Visas program for the creation of the French Institute, Nabalüm was in residence at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris until the end of June where she performed in a showcase on May 23 with Darline Desca.
The song Nabalüm will sing in Burkina Faso at Own Africavision Song Contest #2 is ...

RTB wish Nabalüm the best of luck and hope for a decent result!

MEET YOUR MAURITIAN ENTRY
MBC is excited to announce that Laura Beg will represent Mauritius in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. Today one of Mauritius' biggest names in music, she began singing in 2001 at small venues. She made her big break as part of the group Ravanna after her 2003 cover of Tina Arena's "Loving the Impossible" reached a huge audience. Since then, she has toured internationally in France, Australia, Switzerland, Belgium, the UK, and South Africa.
Laura Beg will compete in the second Own Africavision Song Contest with the song "Inna Dancehall Time". Bonne chance to our dear Laura Beg.
