RTVA has today confirmed that the country will be present in the upcoming Pre-Qualifying Round!

Additional hints were revealed about the entry that the micronation will send: the song has been selected internally and a small preview has been released to the public.

RTVA has also revealed that the andorran entry will be completely sung in Catalan!

Switzerland confirms participation!

SRG:SSR officially confirms the Swiss participation in the upcoming edition of the North Vision Song Contest, to be held in Georgia!

DENMARK CONFIRMS PARTICIPATION!

12 July 2020 • Copenhagen, Denmark

DR has officially confirmed that Denmark will be competing in the upcoming 33rd edition, despite the rumors circulating wanting the country to withdraw from the edition. The Head of Delegation has also spoken about the country's plans and the selection method for the forthcoming North Vision Song Contest.

Denmark will be in Georgia – selection method unknown

It's official that Denmark will make its 33rd appearance in the competition in the upcoming 33rd edition, set to take place in Georgia. Despite confirming their participation, the Head of Delegation revealed that even though there are only a few weeks left, the broadcaster has not come up with a final decision regarding the selection method. Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 26 will take place if the broadcaster decides to continue the selection.

"We have no idea what the broadcaster wants to do this edition, even though last edition it was said that Dansk Melodi Grand Prix will continue for at least a few more editions, we did not get an official confirmation regarding this edition. Although it is very likely that it will take place eventually."

Let's rock the PQR!

The 33rd edition of the North Vision Song Contest is about to start soon. For Ukraine, the journey will start earlier, because sadly, Khayat's result in Luxembourg wasn't enough to qualify to the Grand Final and at the same time not enough to avoid the Pre-Qualification Round. With a 16th place in the seminfinal with 104 points (6 points away from the 15th place), Khayat wasn't able to impress the European audience with his folk bop "Osoka". Nevertheless, Ukraine will (hopefully) be present in Georgia as Ukraine will fight to get throught the PQR.

Due to the late confirmation, NTU is opting for an internal selection. There are already talks with several artists and in the next few days, the HoD will present it to the whole audience. Some rumours tell that it might be either an international superstar, known in the whole continent, or maybe even an unknown Ukrainian singer with roots from Central Asia.

The final decision will be presented in a few days.

DIE LATTE IST AM BODEN.

Austria has just confirmed their presence in the next edition of the North Vision Song Contest. After failing to qualify from the pre-qualification round and scoring their worst placement to date with fan-favourite Lou Asril, the combined delegation has pondered over the next selection method in thorough detail.

A national selection might be held.

Though these are no finite claims, it has been rumoured that there could be a new selection method being put in to place after the last three disastrous results showing no growth towards success. ORF is expected to come forward with new confirmations towards the selection method in the upcoming week.

SLOVENIA CONFIRMS PARTICIPATION

RTVSLO has revealed that the nation will be making an appearance in the 33rd edition of the Northvision Song Contest.
Following two non-qualifications, one featured in the dreadful Pre-Qualification Round in #32, the broadcaster is looking to bring back the country into the Grand Finals in #33.
A selection method is yet to be decided. However, RTVSLO is opened for both an internal or a national selection for next edition. More information to be revealed in due time.

 Creating a political statement 
Dardust did RAI extremely proud, making Sublime the first entry without vocals to qualify for the Grand Final. Coming a respectable RAI confirms that Italy will indeed be present in the thirty-third edition held in Georgia, and is coming to push the boundaries of the competition yet again. Unfortunately for RAI, they were not available to do a major interview similar to that of our Latvian colleagues, however, the Head of Delegation did release a press statement.

 Italy has no intention on withdrawing from the competition any time soon. Continuing our participation in the Semi Finals will be a process that we have to endure, but we are certainly willing to do it, especially in the doll nation of Georgia.

We have received 1539 songs this edition from many talented, respectable, as well as new and upcoming artists. The list has been narrowed down to thirty choices, with a further chopping down set to begin when invited jurors will listen to all potential entries.

No matter what path we choose, it is certain that Italy is back, and she's back for revenge.
