It's more realistic to hold it in an arena where also JESC took place rather than a newly constructed stadium. Plus, if you imagine it was a real contest, it would be very difficult for delegations to reach Batumi because probably there wouldn't be any direct flights to there. a) This is way bigger than the JESC arena 2)Azerbaijan literally made a whole arena prior to ESC 2012 b) Batumi is a very modern city which attracts many tourists, it isn't very far from Tbilisi anyway. c) trains and buses exist Why are you presenting counter-arguments? I don't wanna be convinced. That is what I think and what I will think. But if you love some counter-arguments, here are some new ones for you: a) Yes, that arena wasn't big enough but Tbilisi Sports Palace with a capacity of min. 10000? 2) Yes, in Baku (capital and biggest city) Plus i'm not sure whether they could really afford to build a roof for the stadium. Azerbaijan is richer than Georgia and more willing to host these kind of events. b-c) 53 delegations taking buses? That's really not comfortable.

Not here, not at Eurovision, nowhere. 2) Georgia is surely absolutely totally willing to host such an event. Georgia would get financial and organisational help if needed just like any other host nation before. b-c) I don't know how familiar you are with Eurovision but delegations have their own private buses where they get from the hotel to the venue to other parts of the cities every single year. 3) or d) this is a fictional contest ma'am

I'm sick and tired of contest founders (or whatever they are called) getting involved in every discussion. Let us solve the problem on our own. I haven't seen another place on this platform where the hosts are crazy about getting everything under control. Just chill honey! Plus I am VERY familiar with Eurovision and believe me being a eurovision fan is not equal to being the host of a fictional song contest.

Also I was only saying to you that it's only a fictional song contest, thus there's no reason to explain why the NBU council chose Batumi over Tbilisi. You should calm down and realize that they were only responding to your comment. And above all, it's a fictional song contest. You're complaining about the host city but if this was actual reality it wouldn't be hosted sweetie. That's all. It wasn't an attack

My point is when a user is involved in a discussion, council members shouldn't join that discussion as a flood of people. If there weren't any users or the users did not enjoy the contest, the contest wouldn't even exist. Preferring Tbilisi over Batumi is just expressing my own opinion and everyone (regardless of they agree) have to show some respect. The council members should also care more about these kind of comments, rather than calling their followers ''ma'am'' because none of them is permanent there and they are just losing followers with that unnecessarily arrogant attitude.

Plus I am VERY familiar with Eurovision and believe me being a eurovision fan is not equal to being the host of a fictional song contest. I am literally the host of the contest and as such a temporary part of NBU for this edition. NBU with my suggestion chose Batumi as a host city. I think NBU member has the right to defend their choice of a host city. I don't see anyone else having the same problem as you. Also when we posted the bids, most people wanted Batumi (reacted positively to it) anyway and with that in mind, we chose Batumi over Tbilisi which we also obviously highly considered. I don't think the choice of the host city in the end will hinder the contest itself. Afterall it is a fictional contest. Only thing that Batumi will change here over Tbilisi is the name in the logo + opening scheme. Yes, this might seem like the hosts don't care about the realism but you're acting like we've chose a literal village and not the 2nd biggest city in Georgia, as well a city that's literally called Las Vegas on the Black Sea. Your posts seem disrespectful towards both me and NBU. Let's not forget that EBU chooses the host city too so your point in NBU literally taking control in everything is bs. Jan was just trying to answer your question and clarify why Batumi was chosen and you keep on being rude from the start. if you're gonna come to me saying that you're just expressing your opinion, then do it more politely, and not act like your opinion matters more than the hosts of the contest and players themselves. I think some people should stop attacking the council that literally does an amazing job regulating the contest with 55 players + a lot more that want to join/that are active and make it equal to everyone. It's stressful and disappointing how hard they work and get these kind of comments that are disrespectful. I am sorry but open your own contest and decide on your own host city and leave our/their decisions alone. thank you.

Hello there, the NBU work really hard to produce this contest as realistic to Eurovision as possible, therefore its obvious that they earnt the right to chose other cities that aren't the capital. Don't continue to critique the choices that they make because It's Their Contest. If this really effects the way that you view this contest from now on, please stop commenting under the threads because it's wasting your time and it won't change anything at all. If not then just enjoy this contest and be supportive like the rest of us.
I'll say it again but this Theme art is Stunning
