Soo what can I say? When I chose "Hibernia" I expected that I might be able to do well, possible top 15 or even top 10, but not win the entire contest! I understand it sounds "similar" to Cyprus a few editions ago, but that's not why I chose it. I chose it since it's really a piece of art to me, Eimear has a magnificent voice and is a beautiful representation of our country. Thanks so much to everyone who made Ireland's 5th (!!) victory possible, I never thought I'd get a 5th win in the 7 years that I've been competing, but I'm not complaining about that either x Thanks to everyone who gave me points: flagaustralia As for the rest of the results, I'm glad my did decent, but should've AQd, it was so robbed in North Vision as well Should've placed higher as well. Although I'm really not a fan of the song, I'm glad got another AQ. Sorry about that, but maybe you'll win one edition. I noticed that ever since MaRtIn took the country it has started to do well. Maybe with this we'll go to Manila one day Again thanks to everyone who voted for Ireland, and we'll see you again in Ireland

Just wanted to leave another comment here, regarding the "similarity" some of you have pointed out between the Cypriot entry from #82 and the Irish one from this edition - I personally don't see a big similarity in the 2 songs. "Awake" had a much more operatic chorus than "Hibernia", which is a much less "powerful" song (this is not meant to reflect any opinion on the entry, it's referring to the beat and the background music which are more "quiet and peaceful") and obviously resembles other Celtic songs. I do, see the tiny bit of similarity between the entries but I cannot really say they are as similar as they seem to be for some people.

Omg what? I was not expecting this to even win, but definitely happy with it (I mean it was my so ). Also congrats to the Philippines and Belgium for (also unexpectedly imo) reaching the top 3. Looking at the podium I guess originality definitely won this edition lol. I'm also really happy with Turkey, Sweden and UK in top 10. On the other hand Brazil and Costa Rica are overrated imho. Looking below that Canada, Japan and Latvia are underrated for me. And I have questions... And about my own result: I'm quite happy with 12th place. Thanks for 47 points everyone. Particularly the I received from Latvia. I was never a fan of this myself and it leaves me really impressed that it managed to even get any points and not place last. Same for New Zealand btw.

I am very thankful for even being in final and to everyone who voted for Montenegro (and especially ) I don't like the winner, not bad song but doesn't deserve to win. Thanks to the hosts for one more enjoyable edition
