After 10 days of voting in the first Libyan national final Iihya 01, LRT has earlier today announced that the voting lines have officially closed, and the winner will be revealed in the coming hours. As promised, the broadcaster has just announced the regional televotes cast by the public and it was found out that the winner had won the selection by a rather large margin, picking up the maximum 8 points from four out of the five possible voting regions/groups. Without further ado, LRT hereby presents the winner of Iihya 01 and the third Libyan representative in the Own Africavision Song Contest, being...
RANDALL, also known as Fethallah Bouidia, was born in Algeria in the city of Oran in 1991. Passionate about music, he plays guitar and piano and became a producer in 2007 at the age of 16. He has been a DJ since 2016 (he mixes without headphones) and is expanding his audience following his participation in 2018 at the Blackout Festival, the largest electronic music festival in Algeria. RANDALL's music draws on the country's musical heritage while infusing it with sounds from various genres of EDM, including Brazilian Bass, Bass House, Deep House, Psy Trance and Trap. It is inspired by classical rai, medahet chants and the sounds of traditional instruments like the gasba and the bendir. Among his influences, there are also artists from various repertoires such as Yanni, Hans Zimmer, Kshmr, Tiesto and Knife Party. Despite a difficult professional environment in the country for those who choose the DJ path, Randall recently joined Dharma Worldwide, a Spinnin 'Record label purchased in 2017 by Warner Music Group. RANDALL is also known to the Own-contests circle, having already represented Algeria in the Own Eurovision Song Contest 53 with the song "Sun and Moon", however failing to qualify for the final.
Tinariwen (pronounced tinariwen "deserts", plural of ténéré "desert") is a group of Tuareg musicians from the Sahara Desert region of northern Mali. The band was formed in 1979 in Tamanrasset, Algeria, but returned to Mali after a 1990-95 peace accord. The group first started to gain a following outside the Sahara region in 2001 with the release of The Radio Tisdas Sessions, and with performances at Festival au Désert in Mali and the Roskilde Festival in Denmark. Their popularity rose internationally with the release of the critically acclaimed "Aman Iman", released in 2007. Others have named the group as "rock 'n' roll rebels whose rebellion, for once, wasn't just metaphorical" and their music as "a grassroots voice of rebellion". Their current members consist of Ibrahim Ag Alhabib (who resided with other Tuareg exiles in Libya and Algeria), Alhassane Ag Touhami, Abdallah Ag Alhousseyni, Eyadou Ag Leche, Said Ag Ayad and Elaga Ag Hamid.
The song that the collaboration will perform in Guinea Bissau is a remixed version of Tinariwen's song released back in 2017, which is...

LAETITIA ZONZAMBÉ TO REPRESENT THE CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC Berbérati, 29 August 2020 - Last edition, Electric Mamba ended up 14th in the second semifinal, bringing our first non-qualification, but proudly waving the Central African flag and representing this poor country, destroyed by decades of war and famine, in Burkina Faso. The Central African Broadcaster hopes the Central African Republic will be able to make a comeback to the Grand Final this edition, because we have chosen the republic's most famous local artist and hopefully one of the few ones that doesn't make potato-quality songs: her name is Laetitia Zonzambé and she will represent the Central African Republic with her powerful Sango anthem Mbi Nze. According to Jeune Afrique, her progress has been made possible to a good extent by the support of Alliance Française and the United Nations Development Programme.

I think Sur ma route is a bit too known (#1 in the charts and the views). And I believe it's overused too.
