Alaska will follow the night.Nuvupigaqmnek yuarunmta atauciatAnchorage ☆ 3rd September 2020After the debut confirmation of the northernmost state, the broadcaster Alaska Rural Communications Service (ARCS) revealed to the website Alaska Daily News that the success of nearby Inuit territory like Greenland in the continental contest is the reason why Alaska decided to join the nationwide competition without any hesitations. The delegation team received around 137 submissions from artists throughout the US, including the Slovak star Celeste Buckingham, who is sadly not be able to represent the state due to obvious reasons, and the first Alaskan representative is going to be...
Anna Graceman
★ Anna Graceman is an Alaskan singer, songwriter and recording artist whose self-penned songs and music have garnered international recognition. She has been featured on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, America's Got Talent and CBS News. In 2014, Anna stated that she had moved to Nashville, Tennessee to pursue her songwriting and work with the musicians there. ★ Anna was born in Juneau, Southeastern Alaska, to a stay-at-home mother, who played classical music to her before she was born. At three months old, Graceman's parents started displaying flashcards for her to read and gain word association. This sparked the love of writing music. By the time she was 18 months old, she had memorized the lyrics of many classical and modern tunes. At the age of two, Graceman was not afraid of singing in front of crowds. On September 3, 2020, she is announced as the first Alaskan representative in the nationwide music competition Own USAvision Song Contest and is going to present the northernmost state with the song called...
Night Follows Alaska in Own USAvision Song Contest 1
Song released by Anna Gracemancomposed by Henry Brill together with herselftimeslot: 2:38+ ★Within the span of two months, Anna Graceman, experienced two traumatic events that changed her life. In one moment, Graceman, eating in a restaurant, witnessed people firing automatic weapons in the streets – towards her. Weeks later, Graceman was carjacked, pushed toward bushes as someone stole her car. While situations like these would leave anyone shaken, Graceman made it her duty to turn those moments into music, as difficult as it was. In so doing, the versatile singer sees life differently now. She sees more clearly the oversaturation of guns in the country and the fear and violence that too-often propel society. All of this and more are highlighted in the entry 'Night Follows'. ★ "Music connects us to others and connects us to what we feel." Graceman says. "I think it’s beautiful that there’s a song for everything that I feel. We all don’t have the same experiences, but we all feel the same things." Alaskan delegation team revealed the reason they picked this song as their starter for the journey to highlight the current situation of violence within the United States.
Thank you ivo for the suggestion! ☆

COLORADO ENTRY ANNOUNCEMENT
"Dreaming In Color" - Judah Earl ft. Laura Brehm 2:39+
EDIT: inactivo , here is the replacement video.
Coloradan broadcaster KDVR is eager to participate in the first ever edition of the Own USAvision Song Contest in Los Angeles. Hundreds of songs were in consideration to represent the Centennial State. Our internal selection committee sifted through the submissions and have ultimately decided on one song. "Dreaming In Color" by Judah Earl featuring Laura Brehm will be Colorado's debut act in OUSC.
Judah Earl is a cellist and award-winning film and TV composer from Kansas City, Missouri. In 2017, he won the award for "Best Instrumental" in the Hollywood Songwriting Contest. This year, he released his new EP "Dreaming In Color," in which its titular song is now Colorado's entry for OUSC. Laura Brehm is a vocalist from Louisville, Colorado. Singing since 2011, her expansive career includes both her own original music and various collaborations with electronic music producers and labels around the world. She also formed her own label in 2016 called Electric Bird Records to support indie electro-folk artists. One of her latest ventures, however, has been to collaborate with classical musician Judah Earl, and that venture has turned into representing her home state in OUSC.
The Coloradan delegation wishes Judah Earl and Laura Brehm a great result in OUSC.
