Values. Do you have any? Even though Hip Hop and Rap songs aren't exactly loved by many, they often speak a lot of truth. For this genre, the most important part is its lyrics, not the instrumental, which is crucial for many other genres. That's why we often don't even pay attention to actually very good songs, because most of our attention goes to the instrumental part. So in this case I've selected a song, that not only gives a very strong message (I really recommend you to read the lyrics down below in the spoiler), but also has an enjoyable instrumental in the background. 1:11+ from left to right: RimRim, Rekpo, Hisae, Mayunkiki Marewrew is a vocal group from Asahikawa, Hokkaido, comprised of 4 women whose goal is to keep the tradition of アィヌ (Ainu) songs called "Upopo" alive. This will be the first time that the Ainu language will be present in the WWW Song Contest. Not only that, but this will become the song in a language with the fewest fluent speakers to ever perform at the WWW Song Contest, with only 10 fluent speakers and 304 that can understand Ainu well. With a population that wavers around 25,000 people, the Ainu are one of the smallest indigenous population in East Asia. The group consists of Rekpo, Hisae, Mayunkiki, and RimRim. In 2019, they released their 3rd album "Mike Mike Nociw". In 2020, Marewrew received attention for the song they provided Netflix for the movie “Ju-On: Origins.” The song in question, Sonkayno, is the one which they will perform in Ireland.

To get some confusion regarding the band's name away: The group (from Thun, canton of Bern) consists of 6 guys. The leaders of the group are two brothers (see the music video) called Mattia and Samuele. They're of Italian descent and were actually born in Rome.

Pablo Alboran Song: El Amor Que Me Tenía Timeslot: 2:27+ I usually try not to send the same artist this close from when they last competed (2 editions ago) but between the time that contest happened and now he released a new song, that is a collab with a singer from other country, and I dont get to send this ones very often, and it helps me prevent Spain to steal this one from me  , although it seems unlikely they ever wanted to use this song. |
