 See you in Montréal!Thank you very much everyone! This is not the first time I send a song from Quebec, and I already got a few wins with songs from there, but never in a contest of that dimension... Charlotte Cardin is a singer I've been following for a while - the oldest song with her I have in my "warehouse" (my database) is this one and for various reasons there was still a Marie-Mai or a Gabriella or a Alexe who I chose instead. But when I saw that song, I put it into the "to send ASAP" list. After two bad timings (I drew Canada just before the song was released in a first contest and I didn't succeed in confirming with Canada in another one) I managed to send it here (and in a sense, it's a good thing that Chloë Black didn't do well last edition). But I was far to imagine how big the success of the song would be (in most cases, my songs from Quebec are not even spotted so seeing this one immediately in other contests was already a surprise). I'm also glad to see that most of the songs that I voted for did well (with my finishing second). |
