SRI LANKA REVEALS!and nope, it's not nilusi Sri Lanka is officially revealing that the French-Tamil singer Nilusi has not accepted her invitation to represent again the island nation after failing to compete in the #25 edition of the contest. She wrote on Instagram the follow statement: "Even if I tried to compete in the Own Asiavision Song Contest different times, it seems that lucky is not on my side , unfortunately I had to refute the invitation that the broadcaster sent to me some days ago because now I am focalized on an new project which is going to happen soon... xoxo - Nilusi". So the broadcaster has decide to invite to join the contest another artist who has expressed her interest some time ago during an instagram live, it's now official that:
Marvega is going to represent Sri Lanka! On August 2, 1985 Marvega was born on a tropical island called Sri Lanka. After just two months he was already adopted by his new parents from The Netherlands. In the region between meadows and rivers, Marvega got his first musical experience. Though he started with singing in the church choir, he found that these beats were going way too slow for him. So it was in the local disco where he got his first mixing experience, which immediately felt like love at first sight. Marvega took a plunge into his musical career. He got his worldwide breakthrough with the hit song 'Affection', which he had created with his good friend and well-known trance DJ and producer Ron van den Beuken. Not only gained 'Affection' international playground through DJs like David Guetta, Marco V, Sander van Doorn, David Torth and Ron van den Beuken: the track also got worldwide support at large dance events and various radio shows. Dance label Spinnin' Records released the track in countries like Poland, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Austria, Hongary and Sri Lanka, which resulted in a club tour. Currently, Marvega puts his energy into new musical productions and cooperations with diverse international stars.
"Rhythm Of My Love" - Marvega feat. Karisha The Dutch-Tamil DJ Marvega is going to collaborate with Karisha and they are going to sing "Rhythm Of My Love" in Taiwan, a summer bop with some Indian and Eastern lines. You can listen to it here, good luck Marvega feat. Karisha and make Sri Lanka proud once again!

Pakistan reveals its entry!
"Focus" Leo Kalyan (1.49+)
“When I first started I hid behind my artwork and didn’t show my face,” explains British-Pakistani Leo Kalyan who, as a gay Muslim musician, found himself in a category of one when he emerged with his brand of dreamy pop in 2013. Having achieved the various unwritten goals that had landed his peers six-figure record deals – No 1 on the global viral chart on Spotify; playlisted by Radio 1; more than a million plays on SoundCloud and sold-out headline shows – the still-unmasked Kalyan gained attention from labels only to fall at the last hurdle once his identity was revealed. “A friend works at a label and they overheard someone saying, ‘Yeah, Leo Kalyan, it would be so much easier if he was white.’ I started to feel like I would be boxed into a certain category whether I was upfront about my sexuality and ethnicity or not.” As the first ever openly-gay artist to perform for Pakistan on the OASC stage, he is tremendously content that he'll get to wave his home country's flag in the contest!
