HI ALL,Recently, the contest has come under pressure regarding our current rules for how songs are approved chosen and what is deemed acceptable to compete.Minor rules have been altered over the last few editions to make things more streamline but have to be rehauled and looked at to push OSC into 2021 to be fresh and in line with the other top contests.We have listened to some members and discussed as a team issues and we have decided to break certain rules that usually differ in OSC. We have decided to change 4 rules to freshen OSC.AS OF THIS EDITION (#57)RULE 1 :- The view limit of ALL entries must be less than 10 million.This is to promote research and excitement in the contest and avoid international hit to be used freely.RULE 2 :- ALL Songs must be released from the year 2000+This is to promote more modern songs to compete.RULE 3:- ALL COUNTRIES, TERRITORIES, DEPENDANCIES, AUTONOMOUS REGIONS, ATOLLS, ETC. to compete.This rule is to allow artists to perform from their location to which under the currently rules would not allow them to compete.The new area eligibility currently extends to at least 330 locations.
If you are unsure if your location would be approved then please PM the council.
All justifications are found from these lists. All on these lists are currently accepted unless stated.

RULE 4:- THERE WILL BE NO BORROWING
This is so all artists are original and native singers of that country.
A solo artist can represent a dependent territory under stricter conditions:
1. Artist was born in the country AND/OR is currently only living there.. 2. BOTH parents either live or are migrants from the country.
3. Other connections that council approve for eligibility for the dependent territory."
AS SUCH!! Currently approved entries will be REASSESSED for eligibility.
Any that do not meet these new rules will not be approved and you will have to change your entry.
