In this thread you can apply if you're interested in hosting the Pre-Qualification Round 22, which is being held for the upcoming North Vision Song Contest 36.APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS Your application must include:• A venue (with capacity up to 5,000)
• A logo
• Presenter(s)This does not limit you; of course you can include other stuff such as a recap/results video.You can apply if...• your country is an active NBU member
• your country is not competing in the PQR
• you are able to create a recap video
• you are able to collect the votes
• you are able to present the results
You cannot apply if...
• you are a co-HoD of a country
• your country is not competing in the current edition

 GEORGIA PRESENTS A BID!
Georgian Public Broadcasting (საქართველოს საზოგადოებრივი მაუწყებელი), the broadcaster sending a delegation to the North Vision Song Contest on behalf of  Georgia, have decided to submit their bid for hosting the twenty-second pre-qualifying round! Georgia's head of delegation has met with both financial experts and various politicians prior to assembling the bid. They have decided that the city best suitable to host the round is Gori in central Georgia. The theme our show will be led with is...
Our proposed theme is Music is eternal! It's been named to remind us that when we participate in things like North Vision, we are actively a part of music history. we document how our music tastes evolve over months and years, so that the generations after us can understand the ways in which we viewed music. That way, our art can truly stand the test of time.

This bid's theme art consists of two main elements: the spiral and the pattern. The spiral is made up of three borjgali laid on top of each other to create a full sun-like spiral. The borjgali represents the sun and eternity, which fits into the slogan "music is eternal". The pattern is a loose interpretation of a pattern seen on a traditional georgian rug, and is used to enhance the background. Versions of the spiral with the colors of the flags of the ten participating nations will be featured in the recap as well as the support banners.
    
    
as previously mentioned, Gori will serve as the host city for the pre-qualiftying round. The host venue is the Tengiz Burjanadze Stadium, which serves as the home field for the FC Dila Gori. a roof is planned to be constructed for the stadium, to accommodate for all weather conditions. the round's hosts (should our bid be accepted) will be  Yaseinya, known to north vision fans as the winner of the thirty-second edition, held in  Luxembourg.  Nina Sublatti will also serve as a potential host.

The North Broadcasting Union can reveal that as no more than one bid was placed, we will be travelling to Gori for the 22nd edition of the Pre Qualification Round! Congratulations to the Georgian delegation!

THE PRE-QUALIFICATION ROUND KICKS OFF TONIGHT!
The time has finally come to premiere the Pre-Qualification Round! The official reveal of the recap will be made TODAY at 20:00 CEST! An invitation link to the premiere room will be shared 30 minutes prior to the event.
We will see ten countries battle out against each other, and they are: Algeria, Australia, Bulgaria, Estonia, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Luxembourg, Malta, Poland and Turkey (in their alphabetical order.)

were any of you aware that this Georgian symbol has been appropriated by Georgian neo-nazis? :blueberry: hey. so when i originally got the idea for the design, i'd done a small amount of research to make sure it wasn't anything like a swastika. the wikipedia article had mentioned something brief about georgian nationalists, and the research i'd done about georgian neo-nazis only ever mentioned swastikas. from what i understand now, the borjgali can be compared to a nordic rune in the sense that it's been appropriated, and that isn't the original purpose of the symbol. of course, had i known this information prior i would've never made the logo based off of that symbol in the first place. but tbh i don't think it's as bad as making a design based off of a swastika or even a nordic rune bc the symbol is still used on the georgian airways logo and appears on georgan tetri. the symbol isn't as synonymous with nazism as another symbol would be. and also, i'm mixed black and indigenous south american. i would NEVER try to evoke any imagery of nazism on purpose. i'm very sorry for my oversight, but i'm not a neo-nazi i can assure you that. |
