Our next song? Yeah, I love it! Notre prochaine chanson? Ouais, j’aime ça!
Posted | Annemasse, France • 20 August 2021 |
『 Composed by Daisy Coburn, Dimitri Tikovoi, Mat Bastard and Maya von Doll • Timeslot: 0:00+ 』
J’aime ça (trans: I love it) is a song about the internal and personal emotions within yourself. Sophie tried to tackle topics that speak to everyone as she wants to defend her convictions and certain things right. Afterwards, with “J’aime ça” she would not say that she was "engaged" but it's just that she love to talk and express the message about important topics. The song talked about a teenager facing the sad side of the world and showed criticisms towards social networks or the society overall. J’aime ça still remains a sketch of what could be Sophie-Tith's artistic future. Both the instrumental and the vocals makes this track powerful and the message accessible.
Detail voting of international juries in regarde:LAO
J’aime ça got the highest scores of juries from Kuwait, Myanmar and Syria and won the selection ahead the previous edition’s runner up song Sauvez-moi by 14 points. That means Laos will send an entry in French again! The Lao delegation would like to thank the wonderful Bangladeshi, Bhutanese, Burmese, Japanese, Kuwaiti and Syrian delegations for kindly joining our international jury panel. Merci beaucoup!
We wish the best of luck to every participating country and to our Sophie-Tith. Bon courage and we hope to see you J’aime ça too! Lao National Television • LNTV Official representative Lao broadcaster in Own Asiavision

A few days ago, NBC PNG (National Broadcasting Corporation Papua New Guinea) confirmed the participation of the country in Own Asiavision Song Contest. After last edition's success for the Papua New Guinean delegation with a fabulous 16th place and their highest score ever achieved, there are high expectations attached to the country's participation.NBC PNG has internally selected the follow-up act for Leslie A'tahu. It is I-zak & Jokema, with their song "Asa Sumba", which will represent the island nation in the next OASC edition. Jokema previously represented Papua New Guinea in the very first OASC edition finishing in 22nd place.ASA SUMBA Replacement video: Good luck in Fiji!

Esraa Jay & Rooftop will represent Bahrain in the Grand Final!إسراء جاي آند روف توب ستمثل البحرين في النهائي الكبير! On 13th August 2021, the Bahraini broadcaster BRTC announced the country's inevitable presence among the members of the Big 6 of the second Fijian edition of Own Asiavision Song Contest. Researching for the best song to cover this important role was extremely hard, and we had to exclude some very valuable acts, but in the end, we managed to find the perfect song for our Kingdom. Meet Esraa Jay and Rooftop! Esraa Jay is a singer and songwriter. Born and raised in Bahrain, she mixes Jazz, neo soul and folk to create an amazing musical fusion which generates her own style of music. She will shine on the stage together with the Bahraini band Rooftop, a modern rock band from the Kingdom fusing classic hard rock, fusion and pop to ambient and atmospheric music with melodic and expressive vocals. As an extra fun fact they're also the first collaboration to ever represent Bahrain! After a song with the same name ("Change My Way"), composed by Richie Krisak and Rakan was unsuccessfully sent for OASC #25, to be rejected some hours after.
Esraa Jay featuring Rooftop • Change As mentioned before, Esraa won't be alone, as she will perform, together with another valuable band from the country, Rooftop, her masterpiece named "Change". You can listen to the song in full here below.

History of Bahrain in Own Asiavision Song Contest The small Gulf country debuted in the fourteenth edition, hosted in Kuala Lampur, Malaysia, and was welcomed with a dead last placement in its semifinal, brought by Ala Ghawas and his Veteran, followed by another non-qualification in Palestine. The country then returned in #17 and achieved its first qualification, thanks to Ahllam and her bop Nafas. Ahllam would later return under Bahrain's current, at the time new, delegation, in Laos, and achieve the country's second and last qualification to date, with her Persian banger Sheytoon. Unfortunately the country hasn't been able to qualify since then, with the most successful result being a 13th place in its semifinal in #21. Last edition, Assala managed to qualify from the Quarter Final, but scored a 14th place in her semi, luckily escaping this edition's QF.
