MICHIGAN CONFIRMS Despite a disapointing finish of 13th in the semi final even with our bribes of Chanel slides to everyone who voted for the Mitten State, the state can confirm that we will be present in Arizona. Initially, Lizzo was set to be our representative, with a state final being held to choose her song. However, since it took 6 months for the edition to finish up, her schedule became incredibly cluttered, and she sent a message to MAB headquarters in Lansing that she would not be able to represent us. A replacement national final will be held, and for the first time, it will not be a single artist national final. Rather, we will have artists from a Detroit record label representing us. Let's meet them now, shall we?
Assemble Sound Housed in an old church in Corktown, Detroit, adjacent to Roosevelt Park, Assemble Sound is a record studio and management label. Formed in 2015, the studio has created a number of acts that have gone on to have massive success outside of their realm, including a former Michigander representative at the Own USAVision Song Contest, Jax Anderson (E3 with ia Tunde Olaniran). The indie label made huge waves in the music world in December, as they signed a deal with the superlabel, Atlantic Records. Co-founder of the label Garret Koehler said to the MAB that he is excited to showcase the diverse talents the label has to offer. The artists have been pre-selected, and will also be unveiled here. Whiterosemoxie (with Midwxst) Born in Brooklyn but raised and based in Detroit, Whiterosemoxie is a 19 year old rap upstart who has taken the rap world by storm. He will be joined by hyperpop artist & rapper Midwxst on their song " Itachi" Siena Liggins Born and based in Michigan, Liggins is a lesbian pop artist, who has been on a steady climb up, having collaborated with artists such as Yung Baby Tate on her meteoric rise. She will be performing her debut song, " Flowerbomb" Kynzi Kynzi is a 21 year-old pop/r&b singer from the Motor City. Starting her singing career at the Detroit School of the Arts, she has drawn comparisons to an alumni of the same school, Aaliyah. She will participate with the song " Siren" Tiny Jag Tiny Jag is a Detroit-based rapstress. She has gained notoriety from her soft voice with her harsh lyrics within her songs. She will perform the song " How It Was" Primer Born Alyssa Midcalf, Primer is a pop artist based in Detroit. Prior to her move back to the Mitten State, she was a member of a Californian garage rock band, as their bassist and vocalist. She will bring her electro-pop style to the state final with the song " Anesthetized" We will be posting the state final later today

Due to low funding Oklahoma will not return to the fifth edition Own USAvision Song Contest, at least for now. Oklahoma will return in the near future under the same HoD, we are just waiting for the correct timing!

PENNSYLVANIA CONFIRMS
Pennsylvania will ofc be again in the contest, after we managed to be Automatic Qualifiers for twice in a row thanks to Daya and "Insomnia" and getting our best result to date.
Now for this edition, we plan to make something s little bit risky, and go in the direction we normally don't go for, so our next representative will be:
Eartheater Eartheater is an American multi-instrumentalist, producer, composer and vocalist. Born in North East, Pennsylvania, she is currently based in Queens, New York, and has been performing since 2009. She has collaborated with artists like Show Me the Body and Moor Mother. She also contributed guitar on the 2019 Caroline Polachek single " Ocean Of Tears" and has covered Mazzy Star's Fade into You with Sega Bodega on Reestablishing Connection, a cover project benefiting the AIM COVID-19 Crisis Fund. Eartheater "Scripture" TS: 1:09+ Good Luck to Everyone
