POLAND REVEALS THEIR ENTRY!
Telewizja Polska (TVP) held a press conference this morning and announced the Polish representative for the first ever edition of the World Music Festival. An expert jury was assigned with the task of evaluating candidates and their songs and they have chosen our hopeful for Strasbourg!
VTSS, more known as Martyna Maja, will represent the country in Strasbourg with her song "Incredibly Annoying"!
VTSS, aka Martyna Maja, is an Polish-born DJ, singer/songwriter and music producer currently based in the United Kingdom. Being well known in the German electronic music scene as well, she has already accumulated some live experience by performing in revered venues such as the Boiler Room.
Her song for the contest, "Incredibly Annoying" is a mix of electroclash, deconstructed club and trap music part of her latest EP Circulus Vitiosus.
The head of the Polish delegation, Józef Pirłówski stated: "When we saw her proposal, we already had an idea of who would represent us. Martyna not only is amazing artist, but she has also live experience and it is what we were looking to. Even though it is the first edition, we wanted to take the risk and send something out of the box for a global audience. It is something that we consider a cultural reset."
