Vanuatu Vanuatu confirms its participation and guess who will represent the country again in this edition? It stands to reason that it could be none other than Yunhway, who represented the country for the first time in the 28th edition where she failed to qualify for the semi-finals and then in the 29th edition with Ailee where she failed to qualify in the final, finishing in 13th place in the semi-finals. This time he will represent Vanuatu together with Yuleum.
Will Yunhway be able to reach the final at her third attempt and take Vanuatu to the final for the third time, or will she have to try again for a fourth time?

“Bahrain withdraws” is a statement that will always be false because you can’t really get rid of us and our presence, not even in this edition!! xxx

THE END OF AN ERANouméa, 27 Janvier - After Yelo failed to qualify to the semi finals in Kyrgyzstan, viewership numbers of the grand final were the lowest they have ever been. Fans of the contest have been increasingly displeased with the head of delegation, and finally, CanalSat Calédonie listened to the fans, and removed them of their position. At the La Tontouta International Airport before a flight, the former head of delegation Miho Sameke had one last thing to say as the Caledonian head of delegation.
For the final time with me as the Head of Delegation, au revoir ~ NEW CALEDONIA IN OWN ASIAVISION SONG CONTEST ~ The Special Collectivity of New Caledonia debuted in the twenty-first edition of the Own Asiavision Song Contest held in Sana'a with Caledonian Marcus Gad and the Parisian Tamal, finishing last in the semifinal with 34 points. In the edition following, the broadcaster held the first ever edition of Musique de Nouvelle-Calédonie à, which was won by Linda Terii with Tamahine O Te Moana. Linda finished 14th in the semifinal with 54 points. A second edition of Musique de Nouvelle-Calédonie à was held for the 23rd edition. The national final was won by Patricia Ségui and her song Le Voleur. Patricia brought the island nation so close to the final, finishing 11th in the semi with 54 points, missing out on the final by a single point. The final was finally achieved by Mickaël Pouvin in Daegu the next edition, where he stunned the nation by going from the last nation to make the final, only finishing ahead of Sheppard and their song Die Young by 2 points, to an automatic qualifier, finishing 5th, ensuring Tim Sameke's performance in the final in the 25th edition, where he finished dead last, only gaining a paltry 11 points. Musique de Nouvelle-Calédonie à was put on hold again for the 26th edition, as CanalSat Calédonie revealed that Sandy Factory would represent the nation with her song Dis moi, where she sadly placed 19th in the semi with a meger amount of 19 points, netting the special collectivity a spot in the pre-qualification round in Nadi, which was eventually cancelled due to a lack of participants. Mickaël Pouvin was tapped to represent the nation once again following this notice, where he once again was 10th in the semi, but wasn't able to recreate the success of his previous attempt, placing 22nd. Musique de Nouvelle-Calédonie à was revived in the 28th edition, with Aussie-Caledonian Chloë Black being tapped as the Caledonian representitive. Black ended up placing 10th in the final, winning the semi final by fifteen points over Timor Leste's Chong Kwong while on her path to the final. After 7 editions away, the first Caledonian representative in the contest, Marcus Gad, once again teamed up with Tamal for his song in the 29th edition, and once again failed to qualify to the final, forcing Yelo to participate in the quarterfinal in Kyrgyzstan, where they failed to qualify to the semifinals.

AUSTRALIA CONFIRMS Sydney, 26 January 2023 Following a great podium place brought to us by talented, brilliant, amazing Azure Ryder, which is also country's best result ever since their debut, it's without doubt that the country will participate in the upcoming edition. To celebrate the automatic qualification in the final, the Australian main broadcasters Australian Broadcasting Corporation and Special Broadcasting Service will collaborate once again to select the next entry. It was earlier confirmed that a special edition of Australian Super Star will take place. Unlike the previous edition, the requirement for the artists is to sing lyrics in some other language(s) besides English, to showcase the multiculturalism of the country which is also present in the music industry.
We would also like to thank everyone for voting us as the best song of the year, where "Some Kind of Love" managed to win against 23 other entries that competed through the entire year in all the Own Song Contests.
Stay tuned for more announcements.
