Zambia has decided their entry. A kind suggestion by three separate people (two of whom are here, shoutout to chris :p and crabrave ) for an Instagram contest where I am also Zambia, I simply could not ignore the opportunity to use it here! Born in Sheffield to a Zambian family from Lusaka, British-Zambian Precious Pepala will be representing the African nation in the upcoming edition of Own Africavision song contest. Her soulful song titled " Eve" will be the song that will be sent perform in Algeria. Good luck, and may our best results return! Timeslot: 2:21-2:46

Baby Eritrea, c’mon c’mon. Piccolo eritreo, forza, forza. Posted in PLAVE’s concert in Seoul, South Korea (12 Oct 23)
After the idea of Australian or Swedish artists chosen to represent the nation by some random tabloids, the head of Eritrean delegation PoomA Zadik Zadik has confirmed that they were flops and that this wasn’t true. On the other hand, they also revealed that for the first time ever, an artist will be representing Eritrea for a second time. Please give a welcome back to . . .
Adam Aminé Daniel, known mononymously as Aminé is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. He is the son of Ethiopian and Eritrean immigrants who immigrated to the United States in the early 1990s. A first-generation American and son of immigrants, Aminé wears his identity with pride. “I think about it a lot,” he says. “I’m personally so proud to be a first-generation Eritrean-Ethiopian. Because, growing up, for me, I didn’t really see people who came from that kind of background.
Choi Yun-jin (최윤진), better know with her stage name ad Jini (지니) is a South Korean singer, dancer and rapper from Busan province. She used to be a part of the girl group NMIXX until the end of 2022 and is currently under the entertainment company ATOC. After a break from official social media platforms, she announced her solo debut with first teasers for her first EP, An Iron Hand In A Velvet Glove, set to be released on October 11.
Among all her debuting songs in the EP, there is one song collaborating with Aminé. Eri-TV revealed that Aminé himself has submitted the collaboration to the Eritrean delegation. “This would be a great opportunity for Jini to show her talents on the global stage and would be a nice time for me to return as well.” - Aminé during the press conference. Therefore, we can now reveal our next entry for the African contest which is…
“C’mon” Eritrea in Own Africavision Song Contest 15
Song by Jini featured by AminéProduced by Aminé, Jay Kim, JBACH, Kaelyn Behr, MZMC, Soo RinTimeslot clip with Korean version will be provided to the council laterAs you may notice from the official music video, the song is originally fully in English. However, after hearing the snippets, the delegation decided to have Jini performing in her native tongue, Korean as well. This would be the first time for the language to ever appeared on the Own Africavision Song Contest. We may wish the best of luck to everybody and of course, to our queen Jini and king Aminé!
