I'm so gonna vote for the UK in the final! Together with Norway ( if it qualifies) & Germany ;D. She is capable of getting a great place..but so was she: If Bonnies performance / background is gonna be dull, voters will be bored Last year there where some amazing ballads, most of which didnt do so well with televoting, despite the amazing songs & live performances such as (12th) ( not exactly a ballad) ( 17th) and (18th). What I'm trying to say is that there are lots of ballads this year. Not all will do well obviously.I hope that both the UK & the Netherlands wont be the ones left behind

There's a lot of 'theories' to the UK and Eurovision...
Eurovision isn't really 'accepted' as much in the UK these days compared to when it originally started and people generally don't care about who the singer is or where the UK are placed.
Others have an thought that due to us being allies with the USA and going to war in Iraq and Afghanistan that we lost all respect from European countries and now that's why they detract from voting for us.
Others think we do for the sake of it being there...
But in general a lot of people in the music industry don't want to do it because they think it will have a bad mark on their actual career. That's why - although I would love to see this - Adele, Jessie J etc will never compete.
Rita Ora might have this year according to heat magazine (my sister told me) because she did compete in one of the national selections a few years ago...

Others have an thought that due to us being allies with the USA and going to war in Iraq and Afghanistan that we lost all respect from European countries and now that's why they detract from voting for us. Well, If I'm honest, last year's UK performance was a bit weak & being performed 1st , didn't help much . As for the song, I loved it! ;D Also, there where lots of powerful ballads such as , , & ..so some had to be left behind by the jury In 2011, the UK placed 5th ( I think) with televoting. It was a good, catchy & a modern song thus people voted for it. I guess the best way for the UK to do well is by a national final. That way, the British would be much more interested in the contest, not to mention that the public would actually have a right to choose their representative! ^ ^ I used to think that an internal selection is the best way to do well in ESC. In my opinion, if an internal singer ( a good singer ) is chosen, and around 4 songs are composed for him/her..I just cant see a better way of doing well in ESC But sending a famous singer like Engelbert ( and by famous I mean 30 years ago -.- ) with an old fashioned song, isn't the right move in my opinion. People nowadays want great pop songs, up tempo songs and powerful ballads with strong vocals..sending something out-dated, wont do it As much as I love the UK ( 3rd fav) & the Netherlands (7th fav) this year, I cant really see them reaching the top 15 honestly :/ I sure hope they do, but I will be very surprised if I see one or both of them in the top 10. Oh well, the final performance is everything. Favs like 2011, 2011, 2012, 2010, 2010, 2011, 2011 etc... all prove this. I'm sure Bonnie & Anouk will give us an amazing performance vocally, but will the voters remember these beautiful masterpieces after they heard all songs? I sure hope so ;D
