Science Results A while ago I found out the results of my Core Science GSCE (Covering Biology, Chemistry, Physics and an ICER)
(In the UK it goes alphabetically, G being the worst, and A*) Biology-B(75%) Chemistry-C(68%) Physics-B(71%) ICER-D (55%)
That averaged out as a C, making it my first GCSE!
In Germany
When learning about Nazi Germany, we taught that it's not really the Germans fault, (they were left in a bit of a shit state thanks to the Treaty of Versailles, Hitler was elected in before his darker motives were shown ext., we were also told that in Germany it's taught with a bit of guilt saying it was there fault. Is that true?
GSCE Changes
To the over 16 Brits here, to get a C in GCSE, was it 50-59%, or 60-69% like it is now?
It was ranged across different topics, one of my GCSEs for a C was 60 to 69 whereas maths was 75 - 85

I might get some of my Christmas test results back tomorrow, not my report card, but the actual tests themselves. At least i'll see how bad I did in some, and where I went wrong. Not looking forward to: Maths. I'll be really surprised if I get higher than an D or F. I made huge mistakes and the test was so so hard, even my friend who is great at Maths was confused.. Every other subject will be (or should be) great/okay. I think I will finally get something other than 67% in Irish, and maybe get a 70%-84% (B), and I don't expect to go higher. On Tuesday I'll know my geography and science results. Maybe history too, my teacher tends to give our tests back 1 or 2 history classes later.. I think I'll also get a good art result, I stayed back two hours after school in December to finish something for my project. And my teacher likes my artwork So; results I predict: Art: 65-90% (I hope it is something between this. I have never gotten an A before in art, but came close (83%) ) Science: 70-90% Irish: 55-75% Geography: meh, easy: 80-90% Business Studies: 75-100% Maths: 25-50% English: 60% French: 70-100% History: 65-80% P.E (Physical Education): - Don't even count this. I don't do it half the time and neither do my friends. I'll post results if I get any tomorrow *revival of topic*

Also in Ireland, the grading system in secondary schools is like this: A - 85%-100% B - 70%-84% C - 55%-69% D - 40%-54% (this is the lowest grade you can get if you want to pass) E - 25%-39% F - 10% - 25% NG (no grade) - 0%-10% - Believe me, this exists.. No one in my class got it ever, but I know it's possible..

I'm in the second year of my apprenticeship and in June i have the first two of my final exams. And then in the third year only 1 day to go to school. I can tell you that in the past 1.5 years only 6 persons(of 24) reached the best mark(in Switzerland the marks are from 6 as the best one down to 1). But I've set a record before christmas because at the last exam I reached the second time the mark 6. Theres no other person who has reached this. I know it sounds really crazy.
