Greece and Montenegro are the only Balkan countries with a qualification streak right now, while during the 10s, these two were the balkan countries with the worst qualification rate, Greece non qualifying from #12 to #21 while Montenegro from #14 to #27.. luv tables have turned huh

PORTUGUESE QUALIFICATION STREAK
After Pongo qualified to the final with "Tambulaya" in #31, it is the first time that Portugal qualifies to the final three times in a row (since Sreya qualified in #29 with "Flores Picantes", and Blaya and Deejay Telio qualified in #30 with "Eu Avisei"). The previous record was twice in a row in the two first editions (with Diego Faria singing "Elas Ficam Loucas" in #1 and Rita Redshoes singing "Choose Love" in #2).
NATIONALITY OF PORTUGUESE ACTS
I made some research about all the Portuguese acts and this is all I found about the countries where they're born, they live and they have roots from. I'm pretty sure that I've missed some information, so if you have anything to add just tell me!
COUNTRY | TOTAL | BORN | RESIDENCE / NATIONALITY (excludes those born in Portugal) | DESCENT (excludes those born or living in Portugal) | Portugal | 25 | 18 (#2, #3, #4, #7, #8, #11, #12, #15, #16, #17, #18, #20, #21, #23, #24, #25, #27, #29) I won't list all the artists, but basically all these were born in Portugal. | 7 (#5, #10, #14, #18, #30, #30*, #31) Santamaria, Blaya and Deejay Telio (that's why #30 is counted twice) and Pongo live in Portugal. Both Mickael and David Carreira have a Portuguese nationality despite being born in France. | 0 | Brazil | 5 | 4 (#1, #5, #9, #30) Diego Faria, Adriana Lua, Sophia and Blaya were all born in Brazil. | 0 | 1 (#23) DIANNA (formerly known as Diana Monteiro) has Brazilian roots. | France | 4 | 4 (#8, #10, #14, #18) John Mamann and the brothers David and Mickael Carreira were born in France. | 0 | 0 | Angola | 3 | 3 (#14, #30, #31) Both members of B4 (Pedro C4 and Big Nelo), Deejay Telio and Pongo were born in Angola. | 0 | 0 | Sweden | 1 | 1 (#11) Andreas Wijk is Swedish. | 0 | 0 | Germany | 1 | 1 (#6) Madeline Juno is German. | 0 | 0 | Morocco | 1 | 0 | 0 | 1 (#8) John Mamann has Moroccan roots from his father's side. | Spain | 1 | 0 | 0 | 1 (#23) DIANNA (formerly known as Diana Monteiro) has Spanish roots. |

Poor Samanta Tīna. She clearly is the unluckiest. Big flops in NVSC and now she finally has a chance at this mock off Eurovision.. And miss Rona cancels it.

Added to this fact, this is the first edition since NVSC #23 in which all BENELUX countries were in the final. This only happened for the fifth time in the history of the contest (#4, #5, #20, #23, #32).

Due to Latvia's cancelled return, #33 is the first edition without any withdrawing, returning or debuting countries or in other words: the first edition to have the exact same participants as the previous edition.
