Today I'm going to the Christmas Concert organized by a radio of Cyprus. Ivi Adamou, Helena Paparizou, Demy, Eleni Foureira, Constantinos Christoforou and others will be there. I'm mostly going for Ivi, Helena and Demy I'm so jealous!! Dylan DanielThe Thorn (Þ, þ) originates from Old Norse (Viking times) and it came into use in the Old English language as originally the way we would write 'th' - that being why the name of the letter is technically þorn. The letter ð came into use during middle ages in Scandinavia and then also in England (it sounds like the 'th' in them) and was used in particles and usually in the middle of words. We eventually changed the writing of ð to 'th' (according to my book) due to the income of French language into British language. Notably in the word théâtre which we still today spell in British English is 'theatre' So ðe = the / ðem = them / ðey = they etc On a side-note, Icelandic words never start with the thorn - ð
