◘◘◘◘◘ ◘◘◘◘◘ The entries has been found, and the opening for votes has just begun! Nicole Scherzinger is now ready to recieve your votes! She needs your help of deciding which songs of her 3 entries will be the representing entry for the US state of Hawaii (Be aware that the descriptions for the songs are the composition written from Wikipedia) ENTRY NO. 1 "BOOMERANG" "Boomerang" is a pop song produced by the French songwriter, Sandy Vee. It contains great layers of 'Oh!'s on the chorus, which was described by Sam Lansky of Idolater as an 'earworm'. The 'synth-spangled' song contains a 'fuzzy, club-friendly' beat. Lyrically, "Boomerang" is about 'not letting the haters keep you down', overcoming obstacles and 'coming back even when people try to throw you out'. Nicole sings about her ability to turn things around for the better. With 'wide-eyed determination', she sings: "You can turn me down, you can throw me now/ The harder out, the harder I come back around". Of the song, Nicole said:
I love this track as I can really relate to the lyrics because I don't always feel on top of the world and fierce and fearless. I have my doubts and days where I wonder if I should just throw in the towel. This song uplifts me and gives me strength.
If you want to see Entry no. 1 win, please rate it among the higher points than the other 2 songs ENTRY NO. 2 "I HATE THIS PART" "I Hate This Part" is an up-tempo R&B-dance ballad, written by Wayne Hector, Lucas Secon, Jonas Jeberg and Mich Hansen. The concept of the song focuses on the conversation between two people, before the break-up of their relationship, with a recurring theme of that 'difficult moment when a romance runs aground'
The song rose steadily in the US until it reached its peak of #11 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #10 on the Billboard Pop 100 following a considerable increase in airplay on 3 formats. "I Hate This Part" also spent two weeks at #1 on Billboard's Hot Dance Club Play, becoming the Dolls' fourth single to reach the top of the chart but the first to spend two weeks there. "I Hate This Part" is the only single in the Pussycat Dolls' history that has charted higher in the United States than the United Kingdom (albeit it was only 1 position higher). On March 11, 2010 "I Hate This Part" was certified platinum by RIAA, after a year since it was released.
If you want to see Entry no. 2 win, please rate it among the higher points than the other 2 songs ENTRY NO. 3 "POISON" "Poison" is an up-tempo dance-pop song produced by RedOne, BeatGeek and Jimmy Joker. With a guitar-driven melody, "Poison" uses a pulsating and toxic beat throughout, which is similar to that used in the Britney Spears's song, "Toxic". The lyrics were also compared to "Toxic" and said to have similar themes, according to BBC Music blogger, Fraser McAlpine. A reviewer from Rap-Up spoke of the song's overall theme. "The lead Pussycat Doll has thoughts of using a deadly elixir on the dance floor, singing through a fuzzy filter over bombastic synthesizers." They described the song as a 'toxic pop gem'. According to the sheet music published at Musicnotes.com by Sony/ATV Music Publishing, the song has a time signature set in common time, with a tempo of 124 beats per minute. The melody is mainly composed with piano and guitar instruments.
