Finland: Pernilla Karlsson - "När jag blundar"

Finland has confirmed participation in Eurovision Song Contest 2012. Their artist and song will be decided on February 25, 2012. Both known artists and unknown artists could send in entries. Entries could be submitted between August 15 and the end of September. At least one of the songwriter and the artist had to be from Finland and only one song was accepted per artist. The contest started in January with a series of heats before the final in Helsinki in February. The show is called "Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu" (UMK) and is a new selection format started for this year by the broadcaster (YLE).
