I like the updates even though they don't really affect me respectively my country as it's an African one lol. I mean it's not like I'd know many songs from there which are older than 3 years.
I've still a question regarding the parental rule: What if an artist is considered as from , but was born somewhere else. e. g. K'naan is considered as Canadian-Somalian. Does that now mean he can't be sent by Canada anymore? Just a random example ofc with the first artist to come to mind, but I guess you know what I mean.

Hmm, I guess the rules written there are for those cases in which the connection is not clear enough. When there's a good source saying the artist has two nationalities then it should be fine for them to represent both countries

alexis9000 Spain and Scotland are both free right now The last player who had Spain decided to switch countries so it's not taken anymore. Scotland hasn't participated in this contest for a long time already When you read this and you're like WTF I'M SPAIN but then you see the date 😂

Faroe has loads of native acts but Aland doesn't. I think Aland should still borrow.

Faroe has loads of native acts but Aland doesn't. I think Aland should still borrow. The main problem I see with the Aland Islands is that it's not an UN member. In other words, if I include it I should include tons of other ''countries'' in their similar situation. So I see it's a little unfair that it has the power to send songs from two powerful countries like both Sweden and Finland (or even if it only could borrow from one of them) when other actual nations struggle to find one good song. If it wasn't because some players have shown interest in participating with Faroe Islands and Aland Islands, I just wouldn't allow them since they are not following the criteria of ''country'' , which is being part of the UN or having at least a bunch of countries recognising it ( Kosovo and Taiwan). I know it sounds harsh to say ''what's a country and what's not'' but I need to draw the line somewhere or else we'll soon see very unfamiliar territories randomly participating in here (like the US Virgin Islands wanting to borrow from the USA). So that's why I'm being strict with the only two exceptions I'm making.
