Main rules
1. You can't vote for your own country.
2. Eligible countries
- You can only select any country that is member of the United Nations, with the exceptions of Kosovo and Taiwan.
- The United Kingdom is split into its 4 regions: England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. They can't trade artists, they individually need to meet a requirement of Point 3.
3. Artists
They can participate if they meet AT LEAST one of these requirements, if Your Artist (s) ...
- ... was born in the country.
- ... lives in this Country since 5 years or more.
- ... has BOTH parents from this Country.
*If you send a band, the vocalist or at least half of the members of that band need to meet one of the requirements mentioned above.
*The only countries that can send artists not according to these requirements are those in Point 15 (borrowing nations).
4. Song
- It should respect the rules for the Artists and Borrowing (Point 3 and 14).
- It hasn't participated in 5 or more contests (couting those in the forums and forum's wiki) OR 3 across the forum.
- It isn't or wasn't a participant of (J)ESC.
- It is not participating in an on-going official selection for (J)ESC, considering all of them as possible future (J)ESC entries. Once they are eliminated from said selections, they are eligible to participate.
- Covers and remixes are allowed, as long as their original hasn't participated yet.
- We reserve the right to accept or not a song in case we consider it's not appropiate for the contest.
5. If you don't vote without giving a reason, you will have to withdraw for one edition and your country will be free for anyone else to take.
- In case you can't vote prior the deadline, you can ask to have replacement votes. However, you can't ask for a replacer three times in a row.
- If the replacer is asked during the semi-final's period, they will be participants from the other semi-final.
- If the replacer is asked during the Grand Final, they will be users from this forum that don't participate in this contest.
- If more than the needed replacers provide their set of points, they will be used as Rest of the World jury in both cases.
- RotW jury is a combination of all the sets of points submitted AFTER all the needed replacers were covered.
- All the voters mentioned above are selected by the host and not by the participant asking for it.
6. There have to be min. 12 members.
7. If there are more than 31 members, there will be Semi-Finals.
8. If there are semi-finals:
- The top 10 from each semi-final will qualify into the Grand Final.
- The 11th placed country from each semi-final will qualify into the Wildcard Battle.
- If there's a tie of votes in the 11th placed countries, all involved in said tie will qualify into the WCB.
- If there's a tie in the top voted participants of the Wildcard battle's result, all the songs involved in that tie will qualify.
- There will be Automatic Qualifiers, the amount of them will change depending of the number of participants:
*31-33 countries - 1 AQ
*34-39 countries - 3 AQ's
*40-49 countries - 5 AQ's
*50 or more countries - 6 AQ's
9. There can only be ONE absolute winner for each edition and TEN direct qualifiers in each semi-final. In case there's a tie of points between the countries at the top or those who scored in 10th-11th, the tie-breaker will follow this hierarchy:
1. The country that got at least one point from the most participants.
2. The country that got the most sets of 12 points.
3. The country that came first in the running order.
10. Voting is in Eurovision style.
11. You can make National Selections, but you have to organize them for yourself and all songs need to meet the Point 4 requirements. You can ask for a taglist to be added to your thread.
-If one or more of the songs participating in the selection is not eligible, the organization can keep going, but if one of said song wins, then the runner-up will be taken as entry.
12. You can switch your Country, if the Other Country is free, or trade with another member.
13. You can take a break and still keep your country for at most 2 editions in a row. Once you withdraw for the third edition, then your country will be free.
14. Borrowing.
The only exceptions for Point 3 are these borrowing countries, which can send artists from other nations.
RESTRICTIONS:
- Borrowing countries CAN'T send Eurovision artists (that paricipated in an ESC).
- They have to ask the player of the country they are borrowing from for song approval before sending their entry.
- The selected song also needs to meet at least one of the requirements from Point 3 from the perspective of the borrowed nation.
Liechtenstein can borrow from Austria and Germany
Monaco can borrow from France
San Marino can borrow From Italy
15. Rules can be added, edited or removed if needed ONLY by the host of this contest, at any point of time.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask them !
