Confirm now for the Spring 2015 edition of the CFA World Cup!
Some basic information
- A maximum of 18 countries can sign up.
- Each country that signs up, has to pass on a list of the names of their 23-man squad plus the name of their coach.
- There must be three goalkeepers: no more, no less.
- There must be at least three players in each of the following positions: Defender, Midfielder, Striker.
- Player numbers and player ages are not necessary.
- Countries that already took part in the Winter edition can choose to take part with the same line-up, but they can also apply changes or even take part with a whole new squad.
- Erezin Halla striker Shane McGown will not be allowed to take part because of his recent marriage with Lisa Carligan. They'll most certainly be on honeymoon when the tournament takes place.
- It is not necessary to pass on the names of the players at the same time as the confirmation. However, if a country confirms, but fails to pass on the list of the players in time, they'll be deprived of the right to take part in the tournament.
- The matches will be simulated using Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 once more. It is yet to be decided whether visual footage of the matches will be published.
- The design of the bidding process for the hosting of the tournament will be like this:
- The bidding process will start as soon as the confirmation period has ended.
- If Neptune, winner of the Winter edition, passes on a satisfactory bid to the CFA in time, they'll automatically gain the right to host the Spring edition.
- If Neptune fails to do so, there'll be an open bidding process.
- In this open bidding process, each country can pass on a bid to the CFA. A joint bid of two (contiguous!) countries is also possible, but three or more countries passing on one bid will not be accepted.
- The design of the eventual open bidding process will be decided as soon as we know how many countries will compete for the right to host the tournament.
- The tournament will propably take place somewhere in April or May.
- The format of the tournament, venues, exact match dates and officials will be decided as soon as we know the number of participants and the location of the tournament.
Enjoy!
