If they do get rid of the big 5, they should let the top 5 from the previous year automatically qualify, otherwise the semis will be too long 5 songs more, mean that the semis take like 15 minutes longer. If you take into account postcards, recaps, having to announce an extra 2 qualifiers, etc. it would be longer than that

I voted for "get rid of the juries", not exactly because I want to get rid of them, but I definitely want to change something about them. You would expect the juries to appreciate originality and judge the vocal performance, but in reality they fall for visuals, which is ridiculous. Either bring back the old system, where the juries vote for their top 10 and then combine it with the televoter's top 10. Or make them do a top 15 and combine it with the televoter's top 15. Or reduce their power from 50% to 25%. But in the current system the juries can manipulate too much because they can vote against by putting them on 27th place. The next thing is: I would make the countries give points from 1-15. This way, more countries would get points and we would have a more representative result. For example, there are years when former Soviets countries vote like this: 12p Russia, 10p Azerbaijan, 8p omg Sweden omg, 7p Georgia, 6p Armenia, 5p Belarus, 4p Moldova, 2p omg Spain omg, 1p trololo Malta trololo. So in the end, they only voted for three countries because the others will always get votes even if they don't sing at all. If we make them vote for 15 countries, block voting would have less of an impact. We would finally see which songs they liked apart from their friends. But I know that Eurovision will never ever get rid of their points. It's a trademark of the contest. So, I at least hope that they'll introduce points and points. --- About the Big 5, I wouldn't say that I want to get rid of the automatic qualification. But I would give them the choice to participate in the semifinals if they want. Or maybe let them perform in the semifinals as an interval act (in the semifinal they vote in). Not only do the semifinal participants have better chances in the grand final (because people heard their song twice), they also have more rehearsals (and the semifinal itself is probably the best rehearsal you can get).

Back in Eurovision's glory days (before bloc-voting other than / ), they had 11 jurors per country. So I think they should go back to that. Also, I think they should only let finalists vote. It would make the results closer and therefore result in a more exciting proceedure.

^ The first one sounds very old school to me. And the second one is bad.

Bring back the live orchestra (or mini version of some sort) depending on the song.
