Sorry about the wait once more! I was delayed by the civil war in flagantalorgia my country Engeos v NeptuneSemi-final *** Mountain Arena, Mavrica *** Referee: William Mulligan ππππππ v β¨πSummary written by the kind Dylan (and slightly edited by me) The last semi final match has come. The two Polish speaking countries will face off to see who'll have a chance of winning the Cup, and who'll have to settle for the play-off for the bronze medal. Engeos and Neptune have made it this far, and we'll see which one will go the step further. The referee blows his whistle, and the game begins. The countries play for 40 minutes without much action. It seems that nothing will happen for a while, but then suddenly, Engeos' player Milczyk scores a goal in favour of his country. The crowd for Engeos goes wild, knowing their country are one goal ahead of the world champions. Neptune weren't gonna go down that easily, because 5 minutes later, Zurek scores the equaliser. The teams continue on until the 60th minute, when Goncalves is shown the yellow card, for Neptune. Just two minutes later, Cysty on Engeos' side is replaced by Halka. The only other actions were switching players on both sides of the field, for both teams. We ultimately enter penalties after a goalless extra time. Engeos score 5 penalties while Neptune only manage four. Thus Neptune loses the match after penalties, and Engeos goes onto the final, while Neptune could still place third.
1 - 1 (5 - 4 after penalties)

flagrainbowislands Rainbow Islands v flagneptune Neptune3rd place play-off *** Sateenkari Stadium, flagrainbowislands Sateenkari *** Referee: flagfalconrepublics Carl Brettich flagrainbowislands Julian v flagneptune β¨πSummary written by the kind flagkeyholeland Dylan and slightly edited by me The 3rd placed country will be determined by this very match. It's the hosts, Rainbow Islands, versus semi final loser Neptune. The crowd obviously goes crazy for the host country, as they made it this far in the tournament. The game begins and we'll see who gets the bronze medal very soon. Only 2 minutes in, Martin on the Rainbowish side scores, assisted by Blase. It's possibly one of the earliest goals this whole tournament, and definitely a record for the host team. Unfortunately, Blase is shown the yellow card for inordinate celebrations. The intensity doesn't stop there however. In the 10th minute, Awate scores for Neptune, tying them at 1-1. However, the two teams just keep playing for another 61 minutes until Gray on Rainbow's side is shown the yellow card. At the same minute, Neptune scores a goal, by Kuizenga, another possible record. At the 88th minute, Rainbow Islander Wauquier scores out of Merkel's corner kick, making it 2-2. Now that 90 mins has passed, we're going into extra time. At 104th minute, Johnson is shown the yellow card. At the 120th minute, extra time has passed, and thus we're heading once again into penalty series. The Rainbow Islands don't miss any, while Neptune striker Goncalves, topscorer of the Winter edition, shoots wide. Ultimately, we find our bronze medal winner - the Rainbow Islands, congratulations from us all, especially the writer from Keyholeland!

Guys, let me firstly thank you for your understanding concerning the long breaks between matches. I was quite busy with homework during the past few months, so I had to cut in my free time. Also, major thanks to Dylan, who wrote the knock-out stage summaries for me.
I'm going to decide whether there'll be a Summer World Cup in the next few days. (It won't be before the 10th of August, I promise. ) I might also introduce video summaries of the matches in the next edition, if I'm going to try to institute this idea you'll see a preview of that soon.
But now, let's enjoy...
THE GRAND FINAL OMG
Luir-Landodios v Engeos Rainbow Stadium, Arcenciel *** Referee: BjΓΆrn Gribskov *** Summary written by the kind Dylan and slightly edited by me Luiri v ππππππ
The final has final-ly (lelele ) come. The most important match has arrived, the one who determines the winner of the CFA World Cup. It's Luir-Landodios versus Engeos - two powerful teams, as we have seen during the past few weeks. Both sides meet and greet each other, and the fans calm down to get ready to see who wins. The odds are not in anyone's favour, as it's just too hard to predict who wins. The referee blows the whistle, and the crucial match begins. The first goal is scored at the 5th minute, by Landodian Paul Delapago. The greens go crazy. In the 9th minute, Rufa Del Souza scores the equaliser for Engeos, assisted by Monetu. It's now 1-1, but not for long. 16 minutes later, Rufa Del Souza almost scores, but misses an empty goal chance. The game goes on, but it's not until the 41st minute that Engeos clearly take the upper hand, and score their second goal of the sweltering Rainbowish evening, and guess what? It's Del Souza once more, but assisted by Milczyk this time. His goals are not over though: just one minute into the second half, he scores again, assisted by Kilian now. The 68th minute comes, and Seroi is replaced by Elskaarku on the Landodian side, marking the start of an interesting Landodian counteroffensive. At 72, Cysty is replaced by Halka, and Kilian by KarpathΓon on the Engeosian side. But the game progresses, only until the final minutes - Luir-Landodios did not score a second goal during their game, and thus we have finally crowned a winner - it's Engeos! Congratulations from the writer, Dylan, from Keyholeland, and the supervisor, Dave, from Antalorgia, and hopefully we'll see you very soon for the third edition!

-bombs flagantalorgia Antafloppia- Well, I lost in final, but well, at least, I was in final (say hi to Amalur countries) Congratz to the flagengeos Engeos team for this match, and I prefer to lost against them than some flops (say hi to Amalur countries [2] ) I'm surely going to bid for being the host, and maybe a join bid (Engeos is not that far away from LLD )
