I prefer many other songs like Tout les deux or la promesse, Roi is a rather ok-ish/meh-ish but it is not that bad. I feel this elevated with a live but so did seemone but it is ok Only thing that makes me salty is that televote margin and how juries were basically useless I don't see it crack a good result tho, around 17th place is what I see it without knowing the songs

I'm shook and gobsmakced with that margin of the vote, fuck the Jury, it didnt matter hahaha! I am soo happy!!! I loved this since first hearing it. I personally didnt get the hype for Seemone, I felt like she would of done a Madame Monsieur result or less. Best of luck to France!!! (FYI - I dont understand why people have said that he is copying Conchita or is a-like, but i dont see it at all)

A generic pop song with extremely cringy lyrics and a cliché message. Yawn.

2 Extremely generic and uninteresting. Bilal doesn't really have an amazing voice either. I hate the fact that he tries to get votes by showing his story (which isn't anything exceptional either). That tv screen wasn't needed

------------------------------------------------------------------- ▲▼▲▼▲▽△▽△▽△▽ 05 // Average-------------------------------------------------------------------Well, that was definitely a lovely national final, glad France still stays as classy as the past years. I just wish the juries kept their votes short and exciting (jesus christ, Rona).Still a shame that neither of my four favourites won (will miss you, Seemone ), but then again, Bilal receiving 150 from the televoting is just w o wAnyways, back to the selected entry. I definitely enjoy the verses a lot, where the piano really soothes the message of the song, and the chorus definitely shows it as well.Besides that, the chorus isn't exactly the strongest of all choruses in the world, and I feel like that is where the song lacks a lot, as it just doesn't deliver the whole package for me.His voice is also in a little bit of a need for a vocal training. He's definitely carrying most of the song, but at the most crucial parts (mostly the chorus), I've seen him struggle, and I believe I also witnessed a voice crack at the very last chorus, which definitely doesn't help it for me.On the other hand, I can definitely see that he is charismatic while performing (even though some parts just looked very fixed), and he definitely knows what to do to showcase a performance for the song. With that said, I don't dislike the song at all, but it's definitely not something to be amazed about.Just not my cup of tea, but with some training, and some potential revamping towards the entry, it could definitely improve for a much wider audience.(I'm still amazed by him getting 150 from the televoting alone, jesus christ, man)Will this do good in the final? Hmm...Gonna again use the excuse of it being too early to fully predict something, but at this rate, I can't see him impress us too much to reach a good placing in Tel Aviv. But then again, training and fixating could definitely give some sort of result for France for a fourth year in a row.Overall? Kind of a safe choice from France, but definitely something with potential. With the right support from France 2, there surely is something in the making here.In the end, it definitely shows that Bilal really wanted this win, and with such support from his nation, he is undeniably gonna try his very best to please France and his supporters in Tel Aviv.Eitherway, France should be happy with what they've chosen, and may the very best of luck go towards Bilal and France through their Eurovision 2019 journey!

this was for me the worst song in this selection. Worst French entry in years or maybe ever. Good NF bad outcome. Def be a bottom place in the final. Hope they know they can’t vote for their own country...

Firstly, I'm really happy for both Bilal & Seemone, I don't know if I had already said it on the forums, but I wouldn't have minded any of these two representing my country in ESC, and seeing that Bilal managed to get that margin with the TV is making me kinda confident that France managed to react the great way to Bilal. And I'm so proud of being French just because of this. I'd agree with some people saying that they don't find Roi that powerful or the lyrics are kinda bland, but the lyrics fits him so much, and for the song, I'd hope that a revamp will do the job. Good luck Bilal, and may you have fun representing France in Tel Aviv. At first, I wasn't a fan of him at all, but like a bunch of people, his song made me discover him and his personality a lot. One last word, concerning Eurovision in France in general, I'm honestly so amazed of how in only 4 years, the view of the contest changed a lot in the country and also in France Télévisions, like in 2015, the first step, the contest moved to France 2, 2016, we started selecting the right song, and 2018, we started our national selection, and with this year, I'm really happy to see that France 2 really care of Eurovision, and i'd hope that despite the selection seems to flop in terms of viewing rates. I'd hope France 2 will continue our selection, with more quality, even if they decide to only do it on one evening. Saying it again, but Good luck Bilal, I don't know where we'll finish in Tel Aviv, but as we only know 3 songs, we can't really do predictions. Tho imo, some people should really calm down with the hate. You couldn’t have said it better
