first of all, League of Light ;deserves; and one of my favourites actually won this messfest, whew
I really love how adorable this song sounds. Together with with giant chair staging, this actually works very well as a team. I kind of criticised the song for sounding a bit too "wintery", considering that Eurovision is in May (end of spring, start of summer), but I believe the song does a good job at still staying relevant. The twist of languages might seem messy to some, but as I mentioned a few pages ago, they get combined well, and it doesn't sound like a chaotic mess. French sounds lovely as well for the last chorus. Her voice adds to the cuteness to the song, and I love how high she can reach in some places of the song.
I went from barely caring about this song, to already giving it an after a few weeks. Wouldn't be surprised if this climbed to a 10 soon.
Love Is Forever has its chances to qualify imo. Its cuteness in production can be super captivating, and whether they're keeping the chair, or consider doing something else, I can see Denmark make it work enough for a finalist spot.
Overall, a really mediocre selection, but with the best possible winner. Adore everything it has in store, and I hope it does a great job in Tel Aviv. I hope for the very best of luck to Leonora and Denmark through out their Eurovision 2019 journey!

Why can't you hold me in the street? Why can't I kiss you on the dance floor?

People have been comparing her and this song to Regina Spektor, which is fair. The plucky orchestration is similar to another Eurovision entry Lise Cabble wrote (see Denmark 1995) but with a 2019 twist. I love that it’s multilingual - English and French are predominant, but there’s also a single line of German - and for the first time since 1997 - a line of Danish will be sung on the Eurovision stage! It’s a major attraction point for me because the line itself, “Love is forever,” translates beautifully between languages. “L’amour est pour toujours” and “Liebe ist für alle da”, matched with an underlying message about the state of political affairs on our Earth, and you’ve got one of the best songs lyrically in this contest imho. In some fantasy world I could see this doing really, *really* well - but it just doesn’t feel correct for 2019. Compare this to previous entries that were perhaps a bit too overrated, or even more recent innocent-girl cutesy themes (Austria 2016). It’s the song’s biggest critique, that it’s too uber-kitschy and saccharine for some tastes. If your brother’s really into rock or hard metal music he will detest this song’s existence. Meanwhile, your sister might secretly add it to her Spotify playlist. Leonora has that accented female voice thing going on, too, somewhat like Ieva of Lithuania or this year’s Paenda, which I guess just appeared sometime in the late ‘00s and hasn’t yet left us. She’s pitchy at times and I’ll accredit that to needing more practice, but she’s lost a bit of ground since Dansk Melodi Grand Prix. Nevertheless, I enjoy this song when it’s on, and I think it should qualify; it’s not a guarantee but it’d be unfortunate. Denmark’s not going to set everyone’s mind ablaze with this, but it should go on record as being a solid entry for Eurovision. Even if we missed out on hearing Greenlandic :/

I may regret that, but I go up to now.
