Bahrain to be present as always in Taiwan!البحرين ستكون حاضرة كما هو الحال دائما في تايوان Last edition, in South Korea, the Bahraini public was very surprised and proud when Chung Ha announced the country's advance to the semifinals. The streets of Manama and many other major cities of the country became filled with cheering crowds, who were very happy and proud of their nation and of their representative, Assala Nasri. Unfortunately though, Bahrain's semifinal revealed to be a very tough one and, despite huge expectations from the Bahraini fanbase, the country failed to qualify and scored a 14th place in its semifinal, luckily escaping the Quarter Final. Our HoD, Alex Memphis, stated: "We are very proud of Assala, because she tried her best and managed to escape Bahrain's qualification to this edition's Quarter Final." Bahrain to opt for an internal selection again Last night, the country's delegation announced Bahrain's presence in Taiwan. Initial rumors in December claimed a possible second edition of A Song For Two Seas, our national selection which gathered a huge success among the Asian public and helped to select Assala's song, despite an initial incident for which later OABU and BRTC apologized. However, yesterday, the HoD confirmed, on his Twitter and Instagram accounts, that Bahrain would go back to selecting its entries internally, at least until June, because of a busy schedule within the delegation, further worsened by the epidemiologic situation in both Italy and the US. The entry has not been decided yet, but yesterday the HoD suggested it'll probably consist of Bahrain's first collaboration.
History of Bahrain in Own Asiavision Song Contest The small Gulf country debuted in the fourteenth edition, hosted in Kuala Lampur, Malaysia, and was welcomed with a dead last placement in its semifinal, brought by Ala Ghawas and his Veteran, followed by another non-qualification in Palestine. The country then returned in #17 and achieved its first qualification, thanks to Ahllam and her bop Nafas. Ahllam would later return under Bahrain's current, at the time new, delegation, in Laos, and achieve the country's second and last qualification to date, with her Persian banger Sheytoon. Unfortunately the country hasn't been able to qualify since then, with the most successful result being a 13th place in its semifinal in #21. Last edition, Assala managed to qualify from the Quarter Final, but scored a 14th place in her semi, luckily escaping this edition's QF.

WILL BHUTAN FINALLY QUALIFY?
timeslot: 2:41 unless you think there's a better one
Following the announcement of Bhutan's next participant on Bhutanese television last night, Sonam Max Choki appeared on the grand final of "Druk Super Dancers 2020" to perform her song. The announcement was expected earlier today, however the reality show "The Only Way Is Thimphu" overran, forcing the announcement to be delayed.
