We are overall very happy with the qualifiers, with the vast majority of them being entirely deserved, in our opinion (there is one major exception and another minor exception, but we'll get onto that in the final results show). Congratulations and good luck in the final!

Sem-final 1






Shame to leave this one in the semis, it was a quality entry.
I listened to this in full before the contest. You chose a dreadful timeslot, and you could have qualified with another one, at least in my opinion. Sad to see you stay in the semis, but given what was shown in the contest, it was unfortunately deserved.


*pretends to be shocked* This was 100% a guilty pleasure and I fully expect this to come last place. Nevertheless, I feel like you as a HoD put in the best effort you could given your circumstances (Western Sahara is often a starter country for new HoDs, like me when I debuted, and that is for a reason), better luck next time!

Wonderful song, although perhaps a later timeslot may have helped you.
HALLELUJAH NA BONGA!!! Massive guilty pleasure, shame it had to get a low position, but it was sort of expected.


Yeahhhh this makes sense. It was weak, but I love the lil amapiano vibes it brought into it.

You are my guilty pleasure country, and I wish I'd given you points in hindsight. Alas, this was a very weak entry on Western Sahara levels.

  Ok this is actually way more upsetting than not qualifying myself. Like how? Why? ..Is it just me?







  Huge guilty pleasure but this has got to be the most honest song in this selection imo. This is exactly what I'd listen to if I went for a trip to São Tomé und Príncipe. Totally saw it NQing though.

  Just super solid. I could've used a bit more variety within the song but I still don't quite understand why it didn't qualify.









Other countries:

    The most deciding factor for me liking or disliking this was the instrumental following the chorus and I don't like it that much.

    I knew it was risky to send a rap song as I've already read somewhere that rap isn't liked that much around here but damn. I guess you guys really don't like rap huh

    Relaxing and beautiful but I forgot about its existence eventually. Just too non-innovative and unmemorable for me.

    I like the adlibs in the chorus but that's about it unfortunately.

    I always like traditional acts in contests but this one just didn't do it for me.

    This one has "Somali music" written all over it. As much as I'd like listening to it in a hookah lounge I do see why it didn't qualify in a song contest.

    Nothing special for me.

   It took me some time to realise that she has an AMAZING voice. Maybe it's because her song is just so painfully generic for me. It grew on me though.

  I'm surprised this didn't make it. It grew off me a bit but it still deserved to qualify imo.









  I thought this would be good enough to reward it with points after I took the right side of my headset off.



Other countries:

    This is the only song that didn't stick to me whatsoever. I do remember though that I liked it somehow.

    This one did but all in the wrong way.

    I kinda feel bad about not giving this points and not even rewarding this with points in the quarters. It was so close both times only for me to realise that I'd reward it with points afterwards.

    I can see what they were going for but it didn't work for me.

    A nice reminder to stay hydrated. Too repetitive for me.

    I'd expect something vibrant from a song with the title "Peacock Revisit" but in the end I couldn't hear much more than peacock sounds.

    I kinda like this one! But I'm not surprised about the result at all.

    I lied, Burundi wasn't the only song that I can't remember.

Thanks for everyone who voted for Chad  nonetheless! Of course we're a bit disappointed but there's still a great competition ahead and we're very excited to see the results.

I'm not surprised because I won with this song on another forum.   And this is my third victory with Egyptian songs that you guys rejected. Absolutely opposite tastes. But thanks to everyone who appreciated Egypt! Congratulations to the finalists!
