Hello everyone, this is Sarah from TRF TV and we're here to speak with Music From The Heart host Jeffry Schoenmakers.
Sarah: Jeffry, you were the one who came up with this idea. Can you tell me why and how it came round?
Jeffry: Well, it started by the high number of contests rising from the ground, raising competition for participants, and my contest was struck as well. I asked other hosts who wanted to fuse into a bigger contest.
TheLucky13, EurovisionGermany and Jasmin replied to host as well, and so it began.
Sarah: Jeffry, that idea has bounced back a little, didn't it?
Jeffry: Yes, it kind of did. TheLucky13 still hosts his own contest, and we now compete against another contest hosted by Jasmin and EurovisionGermany. It feels like I failed, but I know this contest will eventually make it to the top of the contests.
Sarah: You started of with a slow and delayed contest. What happened?
Jeffry: Well, I had a death in my family, followed by my account on the local forums deleted by a hacker or something,
- where almost every contest informs the participants - and a computer crash, losing the almost finished contest.
I re-made the contest in 1 day after I promised to get started again.
Sarah: You've announced a very big change, or should I say expansion pack to MFTH?
Jeffry: More of an expansion pack, indeed. We've received budget information from all countries, and for the extra performance power in the contest, we've added options for countries to buy additional staging, hotels, memberships for the contest and many other options.
Sarah: You've also divided classes of artists? Can you explain it?
Jeffry: We did that, to enhance the fact, that not always the top artists get good results, and normally they cost more to perform, as well as that goes for the countries. We've set a deemed estimate of costs, and the countries have agreed to them.
Sarah: You have also installed a jury. What will they add to the contest?
Jeffry: The Jury will have their own grading of songs, and decide if there's something special about those songs.
Also the added staging, or performance boosting could lead to more points with the jury, like the TV Viewers will see live on their screens at home.
Sarah: Thanks for answering my questions for now. I hope to interview you soon again, as you've switched your leadership from Italy to The Netherlands, and have bought a membership. You can make a closing statement to that.
This was Sarah from TRF TV, with host of MFTH and delegation leader of The Netherlands, Jeffry Schoenmakers.
Jeffry: I'm determined I can choose artists and songs, or via national selection, and get good results from them, and I see a bright future in MFTH for The Netherlands. I'd like to thank you for the interview, Sarah, and I hope MFTH will be a grand contest one day.
Thank you and to all participants in MFTH, good luck.
If any country might have questions, feel free to ask.
Please state your name and country with it, that helps a lot.
