This is a thread about the SaS-news related to South CarolinaTV broadcaster/Radio station: WVSZ (TV/Radio broadcaster located in Chesterfield)
Musical format: CountryArtist: Lee BriceThe TV-Radio Broadcaster, WVSZ, has now officially confirmed their announcement of their second artist. Making it the thirty-fifth official SaS #2-representant!
The submission has been brought out by the internal tastes from the TV/Radio Broadcaster's HoD and the SaS-creator! So we made it for the next Carolina-state. And this had a very poor result after its debut, when last edition's South Carolina-entrant Ckay1 with the song "Moment of Clarity" offered the state its first last place on the Heat, even when counting all the other Heats in total, the entry would've been the 50th place after it only receiving 13 points overall!
For this edition, the state has taught its lesson and to come with a superior country musician whose co-writtings has been associated with Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw and Adam Gregory. Four singles, out of the artist's breakthrough with the recording accompanying Curb Records' Asylum-Curb-division, have all been charted on the Billboard Hot Country Songs-charts. In additional, the artist has received 3 winnings from talent contests back in the high school-times.
We're talking about a guy named Lee Brice
The artist had had football-interest and played special teams as the long snapper, but after an arm injury, the artist decided to focus on a country music career instead. And ever since many witnesses of winning talent contests, charting Billboard tops, accompanying with other professional songwriters, it was something to decide which what have him interested and missed for quite some time. And it was to be an entrant for a song contest.
As the country-based station WVSZ will held this for the state, Lee submitted himself for the chance to see a South Carolinian grand finalist. He'll be born ready to serve which one of his charting singles will be the representing entry for the state! In the interview he states that he drives the truck to feel close to his son.The song reached #1 for the US Country Airplay charts and has been sold for 775.000 copies as of November 2013.
It is not his best charting single, yet he is responsible for his own condition of choosing which song followed the heart at its best, pointing out that the song also was awarded Song of the Year-honors at the 47th annual Country Music Association Awards. ★ Lyrics ★Eighty-Nine Cents in the ash tray Half empty bottle of Gatorade rolling in the floorboard That dirty Braves cap on the dash Dog tags hangin’ from the rear view Old Skoal can, and cowboy boots and a Go Army Shirt folded in the back This thing burns gas like crazy, but that’s alright People got their ways of coping Oh, and I’ve got mine I drive your truck I roll every window down And I burn up Every back road in this town I find a field, I tear it up Till all the pain’s a cloud of dust Yeah, sometimes I drive your truck I leave that radio playing That same ole country station where ya left it Yeah, man I crank it up And you’d probably punch my arm right now If you saw this tear rollin’ down on my face Hey, man I’m tryin’ to be tough And momma asked me this morning If I’d been by your grave But that flag and stone ain’t where I feel you anyway I drive your truck I roll every window down And I burn up Every back road in this town I find a field, I tear it up Till all the pain’s a cloud of dust Yeah, sometimes I drive your truck I’ve cussed, I’ve prayed, I’ve said goodbye Shook my fist and asked God why These days when I’m missing you this much I drive your truck I roll every window down And I burn up Every back road in this town I find a field, I tear it up Til all the pain’s a cloud of dust Yeah, sometimes, brother sometimes I drive your truck I drive your truck I hope you don’t mind, I hope you don’t mind I drive your truck
