The Faroe Islands will be at NVSC #16!

KVF confirmed to the NBU that the country will participate at

the upcoming North Vision Song Contest. The broadcaster has

recorded increasing popularity of the show in the Faroe Islands

and a lot of requests for certain singers to represent the islands.

KVF decided to screen a new National Selection process, letting
down the old Rising Star Føroyar Selection. The new selection
will be called Føroyskur Sangur (The Faroese Song) and will be
determining the entries for the Faroe Islands in the North Vision
Song Contest from the sixteenth edition onwards.

The format will feature 5 songs in one show. The voting will be
divided into 50% Televoting and 50% International Juries.
There will be 4 places for International Juries and they will be
given out once the selection process starts. KVF is hoping for
a successful format to bring the country its best results!

The Faroe Islands will keep on participating!

KVF officially confirmed to the NBU that they are willing to take
part in the next edition of the North Vision Song Contest. It was announced along
that the country will not host a national selection but may return to the successful
selection format of Føroyskur Sangur in the eighteenth edition.

The submissions for the internal jury selection will start on October 15 and end
on October 30. The entry will officially be presented on November 14.

The Faroe Islands confirm for NVSC #18!

KVF confirmed to the NBU that the country will participate at

the upcoming North Vision Song Contest.

KVF decided to return the previous National Selection process
 Føroyskur Sangur (The Faroese Song) which gives 5 acts the
chance to represent the country at the upcoming edition.

The format will feature 5 songs in one show. The voting will be
divided into 50% Televoting and 50% International Juries.
There will be 4 places for International Juries and they will be
given out once the selection process starts.

Anna Faroe to represent the Faroe Islands!

KVF confirmed that their chosen singer for the nineteenth North Vision Song Contest

will be Anna Faroe. Anna Faroe, formerly known as Anna Nygaard has already made contact
with musical competitions. She competed in X Factor 2010 in Denmark.
The same year, Anna released her first album "Because I Want To".

Anna Faroe is best known for her song "Walking On Fire" which you can listen to by clicking the title.
KVF announced that the song is still in progress and therefore moved the
reveal date for the Faroese entry to the

FAROE ISLANDS TO BE IN NVSC #21!



After qualifying from the Pre-Qualification Round in NVSC #20, KVF confirms the
Faroese participation in the twenty-first edition of the North Vision Song Contest.
Once again, the entrant and song will be chosen through Sangur vár til NVSC!
Ten acts will compete in a first round with the three most voted for songs qualifying
to Round 2, where the official entry will be chosen.


KVF is currently casting for singers and songs to compete.
The official list of participants will be announced in early September.
The selection will be taking place in the end of September.
Exact dates have not yet been given.
