DANSK MELODI GRAND PRIX 05: Voting System
This edition will have a slightly different voting system which has been used in several selections. However, there are two possible voting systems and DR decided to let the public select. The two options are the following.
OPTION 1
The participating countries of the edition will award their points as individual juries. However, with this option the "Rest of the World"-jury will be added with the associate broadcasters or the non-participants of the edition voting. The votes of the non-participants will be combined for the "Rest of the World"-jury. All the voters will be awarding the same points (1-8, 10 and 12)
Example:
Denmark, Norway, Romania and France (participants of NVSC 9) vote as individual juries.
Azerbaijan, Mexico and the United States (non-participants of NVSC 9) vote as the "RotW" jury.
OPTION 2
The participating countries of the edition will award the points as individual juries. Some countries will be voting as televoters. The countries would be drawn randomly to be either jury or part of the televoting. Non-participants will not be drawn as they will be part of the televoting. The juries will be voting with the Northvision-system (1-8, 10 and 12) while the televoters will have a certain number of votes.
Example:
Denmark, Norway, Romania and France will vote as individual juries after being drawn.
Albania, Mexico, Portugal and Switzerland will vote as televoting after being drawn.
OPTION 3
The participating countries of the edition will award the points as individual juries. Some countries will be voting as televoters. The countries that will vote as individual juries will need to apply to be a jury, otherwise they'll be part of the televoting. Non-participants cannot apply to be juries as they will be part of the televoting. The juries will be voting with the Northvision-system (1-8, 10 and 12) while the televoters will have a certain number of votes.
Example:
Denmark, Norway, Romania and France will vote as individual juries after applying.
Albania, Mexico, Portugal and Switzerland will vote as televoting.
