Rising Star Føroyar

As the first edition is almost kicking in, I would like to tell you
more about the format and the voting of Rising Star Føroyar.
You may have already asked yourselves how this system works
so here is everything explained in some small steps.


1. The basics!

In three shows (two Semi-finals and one Final), you will be the jury
to decide the Faroese entry for the eleventh edition. Each show is
purely held on togethertube. There won't be any recap.
Each song is awarded a special amount of percent (%).
The top two acts of each Semi-final will reach the Final. In the
Final, again all songs will be rated by you (in % of course).
The best song will be the Faroese entry for the eleventh edition.


2. How exactly does this work?

Well, at first we will meet for the show on togethertube.
If there are enough people (I hope for more than ten...), then
the show can begin. I will insert each video and while it is
playing, I will set up a poll here on the forums for you to vote.
You can only vote during the performance (Live Voting).
That means that the results of each Semi-final and the Final
will come directly after all songs have been performed.
Isn't that exciting?


3. But how exactly do we vote?

As already mentioned, there will be a poll in which you can vote.
This poll consists of two answers: Up (▲) and down (▼).
While the song plays (3 to 5 minutes), you have to decide for
one of the answers. If you do so, you will influence the percentage.
The "up"-percentage will only be counted. This means that you
can lower it by clicking down. For example 10 people voted:
7 voted "up" (70%) and 3 voted "down" (30%)

-> The song would have reached 70%


Here is how the polls will look like.

(The polls will automatically lock after the song is finished
and they will immediately show the song's result.) 









I hope this explanation is conclusive and understandable.

them here! I will answer them for you.


I hope the national selection will be successful, because
live voting isn't something easy and needs a lot of users
that don't troll and rate honestly. I hope we can do that!
If so, I am planning more editions for the future and maybe more!

First Semi-final Results!

That means that Lena and Eivør are the first Finalists!
