DANSK MELODI GRAND PRIX 09: Announcement Thread




FORMAT

Although it was announced that last edition's format would be kept for further edition, it was decided that due to public reaction, the format will go back to its format used between the 4th and 7th editions.

Ten acts will be competing in this edition. All the acts will be Danish this time and there is no foreign act or returning act. The songs presentation will be different this edition: the artists will be presented on 31 January 2015 while their songs will be revealed one week later, on 7 February 2015.

In this edition, there will be no jury application and therefore no jury groups. Every country is allowed to vote, including the countries that withdrew in this edition and the associate members. Although there will be a recap video, the results will be presented just like the previous edition.

Out of thousands of artists that applied to compete in the edition, ten artists have been selected by the broadcaster to compete in the ninth edition of the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix. These ten artists will be presented today. The songs of the artists will be presented one week later, on 7 February 2015.
