Not decided yet, because they both need to be in the same semifinal first Oh their pronunciation is very good! I can't tell any Latvian accent As for the points, haha all I can say is that I'll be fair.I'll repeat - if we'll be in the same semifinal. I can hear latvian accent, because I hear clear chinese a bit different But that's just me But I'm glad you like it (at least a little) And as for the "only song allowed" - we might be wrong, because for me it also doesn't really sound believable that there was only 1 song. But I think the point in this was that the only allowed songs were all more or less about Mao or military theme.

He confirmed that the song wasn't the only one allowed at that time. You're right that all of the songs were political, admiring Chairman Mao and encouraging people to work hard to build our newly-born country

Time to reveal the China's entry! If you have heard of the legendary German Eurovision entry "Dschinghis Khan", you'll be familiar with it. Yes the song is a Chinese version of the song with the same title (Genghis Khan or 成吉思汗). And this singer, Zhang Die 张蝶, was once known as the Queen of Disco in Chinese mainland in the 1980s . Enjoy the track and have some fun! The Chinese lyrics are quite different from the German original, so if you're interested I have a translation for you The original German version:
