Unpopular opinions related to online contests now Choosing an artist to represent a country solely because of family links (Ariana Grande for Italy as example) is stupid. How about send an act that is actually from the country you chose to play instead of trying to make a loophole to send more Americans in. Also, personally I think its stupid to pick a small country like San Marino or Faroe Islands and only ever send foreign (Italian and Danish in this example) acts - Maybe occasionally its fine but if you choose them then do some research and you'll find there are actually quite a few good local songs to be found. Just pick a different country if you don't wanna search a little harder I guess picking a borrowing country is fine as long as it’s a small contest, for example to pick San Marino in an European contest, but of course to send realistic songs and not the most popular Italian hits. But I think if someone participates in a contest with all the countries of the world you literally have the choice to pick any country, instead people are still choosing to borrow. In this case I think borrowing shouldn’t even be allowed. |

It took me all of 3 minutes to find a bunch of music for  Vanuatu, and I am happy I did it. This also goes to song that are sent everywhere (you know who you are Blackpink). |

Blackpink is nothing special. They sound really generic and their music is nothing that really keeps me drawn in. If you love some of their songs, check out some similar ones here, and please use them instead of Blackpink.
