Jarean hypocrisy On 27 December, Jarea formally announced that it no longer recognises Flírskmasto. The reasons they have cited included, "an illegitimate government" and a "land grabbing stance". On the first point, our government was voted for by the people democratically, among five other parties. Corruption is not widespread at all, however we are sad that our 'friends' in have for no quite good reason ended their already minuscule ties with Flírskmasto.
We would like to remind the world of a country called Baesnia. The land was split up between several countries, including, Jarea. However, they complain that we are land grabbing, yet they do it themselves. We are utterly confused at this. We must reiterate these statements, Flírskmasto does not want to take over the world. We do not want a World War, in fact we advocate for peace. We are a democracy, we love all people equally.
Also, we would like to state that the regions that joined us, also joined democratically with an international observer. We understand this also happened with Baesnia, so why is she complaining when we used the same method as them? We would like to remind the world that we are not even the biggest country in the world.
Yes, we have taken land, but the people and the leaders have all done this willingly. We understand that we are not the most liked nation in the world, especially after our history in the 20th century with the USFS, however, we must point out that we are not the USFS. We are not communists. We are a democracy which promotes freedom of speech and human rights. Regions may wish to join Flírskmasto, but we are by no means invading any land by force. We have not yet invaded any country, so to think that we want to start a World War is ridiculous and quite frankly wrong.
This sudden aggression from Jarea is quite frowned upon here, and we hope to mend ties soon, however, this will leave a lasting mark on our mutual co-operation. Therefore, I, Wladimir Cetenivk announce that after a majority vote in parliament, that we do not recognise Jarea's government at this present time. We worry that they are trying to strike up a World War, making tensions where there need not be any.
We hope for ties to be good again, and we would like to say, one last time, that we do not want a war with Jarea, and that we will never invoke war on Jarea.

In a speech given by Patriae's foreign minister Niall Dolan, support was given for Jarea's decision to unrecognise the nation, believing it to be the duty of the entire world to allow people self determination over who rules them, in itself throwing into question the legitimacy of the elections held.
While this seems to be a moral stance, however some of Dolan's critics have suggested alternative motives for this support of the denunciation of Flirskmasto. Firstly that it raises the chance for more land under Patriae's control in the north pole, and secondly if trade closes between Flirskmasto and Jarea, it opens a market for Patriae's thriving publishing industry to further expand.

Grace Province shows support to it's lingual ally Jarea, whilst the central Amelian government does not release a statement.

The Evämaian government has not yet released a statement on the conflict involving Flírskmasto and U.L. Jarea, but the president is already meeting with leaders from Flírskmasto to discuss the country's next steps. The Evämaian government is offering to meet Jarean leaders in Solyo at their earliest convenience.

o forgot to post this too
Dyrian borders opened again - new visa regulations released It's been a while, though Dyrian borders are re-opened to everyone around the world. There was little conflict during the period of the Assasynian crisis in the country.
However, the government has also revised previous visa regulations and enforced new ones, approved by the government today.
Basically, Dyria's neighbouring countries do not require a visa. This means citizens of Jarea, Baesnia, Orangina and Golden Land don't need a visa to visit Dyria, but do indeed need an ID card.
Other Westmont countries are also visa free travel (though they would need a passport), but if citizens from Westmont (including our neighbours) come to work and live here, they must renew their visa every 5 years. In addition, Kerwanese citizens do not need a visa due to cultural relations between Dyria and Kerwan (and, as they also allowed Dyrian citizens travel freely too), but they also need to renew if they plan to work and live in Dyria.
Because of the conflict, Assasynians do need a visa to travel here. However it's suggested that the problem has been solved, and the visa requirements are much milder than proposed.
Citizens of other countries can pick up visas upon arrival into Dyria. Stay tuned for more news regarding Dyria.
