The Achróais leader Velto d'Apré has shockingly resigned from his position. The backup leader, Ainia d'Loralat (who supports democracy), will take Velto's place in the meantime.

This is the first resignation of any kind in Achróan history. The trade embargo is likely to be cancelled at short notice. However, protests have occurred in Verançel Island itself as democracy is likely to be inducted.


If democracy is introduced, it is expected that the whole of Fantasia will become democratic.

President of Scandavia, Alicia Zender has given her 2015
State of the Union Address this afternoon.

President Zender announced that the country, in the extreme case, would side with their
allies, Flirskmasto. The Scandavian government has strong ties to the Flirskmastoan
government and Scandavia has always had a peaceful relation to Flirskmasto, she said.
The current state of Fantasia worries her. President Zender announced that she will invite
and visit the leaders of many nations to talk about the political situation of Fantasia in early 2016.

Hurricane Aaliyah Aftermath

Sumter City, Sumter - The state of  Sumter in Southwestern Eldance is in a State of Emergency after the horrible effects Hurricane Aaliyah did to the state. Extensive damage was made throughout the whole state from major flooding near the coastal cities which include  Beckville to  Naco. Tornado damages in the city of Brewster which left a total of 400 citizens dead which could still increase as the city is still in ruins. Also a crash landing of Sudoeste Airlines Flight 1273 that took off from  Sumter City International Airport at 17:50:00 UTC-6 local time heading towards  Parise International Airport as a connection flight to  Glaray, as of now only 2 Eldance citzens have died and 47 are still in critical injury. A total of 125 people were on board of the plane at the time. Another major incident during the storm was that a ship sank and a total of 30 people died from the huge storm surge created from the Hurricane.

As of now a total of 432 people have died from the storm in Eldance. Southwestern Eldance airports are still closed because of the wind gust remaining from the Sub-Hurricane which is in Alkyria. The storm is expected to cross Eldance borders again during the late hours in the state of  Lynch.


Luckily, the rescue process has been helped with  Flírskmastoan forces, and  Flírskmasto has donated a large sum of money to Eldance and Alkyria.
Eldance President Lora Stefani & Alkyria President Katya Aliyeva are already discussing plans on how to help each other after the storms leaves the Southern Westmont Region.

Kerwan sends goods and volunteers to help the countries of Eldance and Alkyria

A cargo plane full of humanitarian aid, goods and resources is about to take off from the Kalidonlinn International Airport
heading towards the Mississauga National Airport.
74 volunteers have been enroled and are ready to help the authorities who are currently leading rescue operations in the
towns and municipalities which were hit by the huge hurricane.
Goods provided by Kerwan include mostly food, water canisters, a few SUVs and electric generators.

All the aid and volunteers are going to be sent to the critical areas thanks to local
cargo trucks and emergency helicopters.

"Hoping that both Alkyria and the United States of Eldance quickly recover from the
huge consequences caused by the cataclysm, our most sincere thoughts go to the whole population and to all
the families which couldn't get out the hurricane's way in time. Our young volunteers will do their best to help
homeless people and the rescue authorities." Said President Rikko Rebane.

TE AO IN GRIEF WHILE THE ELECTIONS START

Major Council Head Syngjabjoern Haettusteinar (seen above) and the whole council held a minute of silence for the victims of the hurricane in Eldance & Alkyria as well for the victims of the tragic car crash in Flískmasto and gave condolences to all the relatives and friends. He said "The recent days were black days for our world. We hope for better times and are willing to help out." Te Ao joins the Kerwanese helping mission and sends helpers and helping goods to Eldance and Alkyria.

DEMOCRACY TO COME TO ACHRÓA


The acting leader, Ainia d'Loralat, announced the crucial changes in her home of Lothlór


Achróa is under a state of mixed emotions today - ecstasy, confusion, relief and even anger - as Ainia d'Loralat, the new acting leader of Achróa, decided to go against core values and completely change politics in Achróa forever: by abolishing plutocracy and introducing a democratic system to the whole country. 

The change comes as Velto d'Apré, known to be the most authoritarian leader in Fantasia, suddenly resigned and disappeared from Verançel. There is no clue to his whereabouts, but regardless, he gave the position to his back-up leader d'Loralat. To the general public of Achróa, this is viewed as the biggest mistake of his political career, as Ainia d'Loralat explicitly stated that she would introduce democracy as soon as she becomes leader - all the way back in 2012. The citizens of Verançel reportedly tried to "retract" their votes from Ainia as soon as she became Backup Leader, but the constitution prevented Ainia from ever leaving her post during her tenure.

Velto stated in his note of resignation that he was "going to make a change for the better in Apré" and that he was "okay" with giving his post to Ainia.

Ainia d'Loralat travelled to her hometown of Lothlór in East Loralat to celebrate with her family and friends, but also to make an announcement to the whole of Achróa. It outlined four things in chronological order:

- Condolences to the victims of the hurricane in Alkyria and US Eldance as well as the plane crash in Flirskmasto
Ainia d'Loralat gave her utmost condolences to five nations: the three above as well as Katsyria for their losses during the crash. Achróa is unable to help the above nations directly with Hurricane Aaliyah as the government is in transition and will require some time alone, but says it will fund the affected nations as well as Kerwan and Te Ao with the aid effort.

- An apology to the people of Lanovina and Evamaa for Velto d'Apré's shock outburst
Ainia explicitly stated that she had nothing to do with the trade embargo and that she complained about it to close friends after Velto's outburst. She stated that she was "deeply sorry" for all the problems that her current government had caused to the two nations. The trade embargo has now entirely been called off.

- All claims to the North Pole will still be refuted by Achróa, but only until referenda within the UN have been discussed
Ainia still passionately agrees with Velto regarding the North Pole, and says as soon as the government has fully transitioned, she will send Achróan envoys to the North Pole to help the Sunú people. However, she does agree that most claimants have legitimacy to the North Pole, but will only fully accept those claims until the whole of the UN is ready to agree with them.

-   Achróa will become a democratic Protected Reserve on January 1st
In her most important announcement, Ainia stated that Achróa will hold democratic elections as a two-party state, gradually becoming  multi-party, from January 25th onwards. All titles (such as Leader and Backup Leader) will remain the same, but new posts will be introduced such as the Leader of Transport etc..
January 1st, along with New Year's Day, will also become the Day of Democracy within Achróa.
