Singapore will join NVSC!
Today it was announced that MediaCorp, the national broadcaster of  Singapore, will become an associate member of the North Broadcasting Union! The contest has a large following in the citystate for a while now, but this was largely concentrated to an underground fandom and European and Arab expats, but since Singaporean-born Baby K came 3rd for  Italy in  Jerusalem, the contest reached national media attention and led to calls for MediaCorp to broadcast the show. In response to this, MediaCorp have successfully applied for Associate Membership of the NBU in order to send a delegation to NVSC #18. The semi finals and the Pre-Qualifying Round will be broadcast on Okto, the country's main art channel, whilst the final will be broadcast on Channel 5, MediaCorp's flagship English language channel. A jury made up of several Singaporean musicians alongside an online poll will provide an unofficial vote for both of the semi finals and the final. Singaporean commentators in the semi finals and final:

The duo will provide English language commentary in the semi final and the final, and also will provide interviews, news and coverage from the arena during NVSC season for Singaporean viewers.
