Tbh, Christer Björkman suggested to the German HoD to have a "Melodifestival Made in Germany", but as we all know ARD, there's no chance this will happen  Yes, this will never happen. Thomas Schreiber said that it can't be successful if the candidates already have a song when they enter the preselection. But this literally is the case in Melodifestivalen and they are super-successful with it... He also said that mostly young people voted for Jamie-Lee, which is bad. But in Melodifestivalen the voters are even younger because they can vote for free via app. Thomas Schreiber is a flop  So I don't expect too much as long as he is there. I think it will be like USFO and USFB, just slightly altered so that they won't get any copyright/licensing issues |

Tbh, Christer Björkman suggested to the German HoD to have a "Melodifestival Made in Germany", but as we all know ARD, there's no chance this will happen Without starting to complain about Christers arrogance, the Melodifestival format isnt that special and if we cant even get a NS with one round working, I dont think that adding semifinals will solve the problem. Unfortunately the German music market isnt as strong as the Swedish and our recent flops in ESC certainly didnt help. I dont think this format would work right now in Germany. |

Imo the way how  Germany will select its entry next year is very good. First they will look for good songs both nationally and internationally which is the majour key imo and afterwards the artist. |

"Unser Song 2017" will be held to select the next  German entry !The jury members are Lena, Tim Bendzko and Florian Silbereisen. However, the jury has no impact on the results and will just comment on the performances. Also, it seems like Stefan Raab will return as producer of the selection. Barbara Schöneberger will host the show once again, she's hosting the German National Selections since 2014 The "Unser Song für"-Format was previously used for  ESC 2010 and  2012. |
