The artists will present their cover songs in the ARD Morgenmagazin next week.
The order could possibly also be the liveshow order: Monday: Levina, Tuesday: Felicia, Yosefin, Wednesday: Axel, Thursday: Helene
Levina - “When We Were Young” (Adele)
Felicia - “Dancing On My Own” (Calum Scott)
Yosefin - “Love On Top” (Beyoncé)
Axel - “You Know My Name” (Chris Cornell)
Helene - “Folsom Prison Blues” (Johnny Cash)

Like... Wtf?  So basically, they presented us 33 talented young interesting beautiful artists, only to immediately throw away 28 of them and internally select the 5 most irrelevant candidates, then one of them withdraws because he's getting sued for theft, so he gets replaced by a girl, meaning that the finalists now consist of 4 girls and just 1 guy, and of course both already-selected songs are in English - as if we hadn't already sent enough girls singing in English in the past couple of years (the only male in this decade was Roman Lob). And then the procedure of the show... Omg. It's just a chaos that again nobody will understand. What's with ARD always wanting to eliminate candidates before they even sing the songs they prepared? This is so stupid and not only that! It's also extremely uneconomical! The artists were in a workshop with some vocal coaches, trying to perfectionize the performances for their three songs; they bought different outfits for three songs; the cameramen and light people are working on their movements and effects; they hired backing singers who had to study and harmonize all songs; afaik they even recorded all songs in a studio; etc. AND THEN THEY WON'T EVEN BE PERFORMED, BECAUSE ARD LOVES TO ELIMINATE PREMATURELY. Seriously. Who thought this is a good idea? #thomasschreibermussweg I don't want to be one of those people who always scream "We will be 26th again!". But honestly... Unless the chosen songs are super-duper awesome, I don't see us on the left-hand side of the scoreboard. This reminds me how messy the  Finnish NS was in 2012  And I thought no one would do it worse.. |

This channel has uploaded the rehearsels: ClickHelene is pretty weak.  Yosefin not too good either. Wildfire seems like the song with more potential. |
