So it shouldn't come as a surprise, but I feel like it's only right to confirm and document this.
I'm officially closing FSC, for good.
The contest has had an amazing run, and I'm truly honored that I could be the one to see it through to an ending. As lovely as it would be to see it continue, I've lost my drive to organize contests in general. It's time for me to start stepping away from fan contests.
Despite trying to give the contest a dignified ending, I let myself get in the way of a clean ending. So I'm seeking to do that now, because it just feels like it's time for FSC to go. Making it to 55 editions is already an incredible accomplishment, so I don't want to drag the contest down any more than I already have.
If anyone wants to take over the contest, feel free to use the name and this board, but I want the website and YT channel to be archived; you'll have to start new ones. This also spares me from having to do another handover, and truly cuts the contest's history at this point. If FSC does come back, please let me know and I'd love to be a player.
I always loved the independent streak that FSC inspired, and I hope that all the Fabplayers will take that into whatever contests they may enter in the future. It's been an honor to be your host.
