USAVision Song Contest returns!
Today it was announced that the USAVision Song Contest returns to activeness. Queen of Mean (Inactive) (i.e. me) is going to be the host of the contest. I've asked Tufkai if this is okay and he agreed, so USASC is back. With the new host some rule changes are taking effect, so here are the updated rules:
Rules
General Rules
1. Songs that competed in the (Junior) Eurovision Song Contest are allowed.
2. Covers are allowed as long as they haven't already competed for another artist previously in the contest (they need approval from the host though).
3. The songs have to be released in 2010 or later.
4. National Selections are allowed.
5. You can choose any state you want as long as it's free. You can use it for as long as you wish, but have to keep it if you win.
6. If you don't vote, you will be disqualified from the current edition and you will recieve a warning. After 3 warnings you will be banned from the contest. You can ask for replacers but there is no guarantee that I will find one.
7. Vote

8. Minimum number of players is 11, maximum is 50. If we have more than 26 players, pre-qualifying-rounds will be held.
9. States can only be reserved for one edition. After that you have to be the first to confirm with the state in order to keep it.
Who can and can't compete?
1. Eligible states are the 50 states of the United States plus the territories of
Puerto Rico and the 
US Virgin Islands. The District of Columbia will participate under the flag of 
Maryland.
2. The chosen singer must have been born, raised, or have origins (e.g. parents) from there. If you are sending a group, at least 50% of the members have to be from that state.
3. Borrowing is not allowed. Maryland can use singers from Washington D.C.
4. An artist can only compete for one state in the contest.

Since this contest had 8 editions already, the next contest will be edition 9. HoD's from edition 8 have to confirm with their country in order to get it. The confirmation for USASC #9 will open shortly.
