It's seems like could return cause they're close to Portugal and they withdrawn because of I doubt it tbh. Every year when the winner has been announced, people say "X country will return because they're close allies with X!!" and it never happens

Now that Israel might withdraw, they can surely come back, and not only them but Lebanon too.

I could see Lebanon debuting because of the whole 'broadcasting israeli content' issue, but honestly Israel will probably return within the next few years anyway.

LOL did Russia really already confirm? What butts Also surprised that Bulgaria confirmed early; I guess they're getting confident in their results. Can someone link some of the sources?

To be honest, I don't want countries to return/debut just because another country is absent. Participate because you want to participate. But don't make it dependent on some other country's existence. Like wtf, what kind of kindergarten is that? --- Germany is confirmed for 2018. Thomas Schreiber said they will analyze the mistakes and try to take some consequences (hopefully he leaves, lol). He also said that this year's winner proved that individual music can be successful. So my guess is we will have an internal selection next year or a preselection with established artists singing their own songs, no more 'random singer gets a random song'.
