I tbvh wanted to make a joke, but I have to say I kinda see it's a more sensitive comment to be joked so I decided not to..   Better not  The situation has been going on for many years and I guess that it's better not to make any jokes on whatever has to do with political stuff.  I know that's why I decided not to. 1st? The draw is done using random.org in order to ensure its randomness. The countries are split into some pots according to their music industry similarities and then a specific number of countries from each pot is allocated in each semi final. This way we can make sure that we don't have many countries block voting for each other (of course block voting is inevitable and can not be ultimately "banned"). Now as for your running order, last time you were towards the end of the recap and didn't do so well. Maybe this early draw will help you + we've seen many countries opening a semi final and qualifying, as well as finalists opening the final and doing really well there too. I have even carried out some Hypothesis tests (using several methods, for those who know Statistics ) and the draw doesn't really affect the results so I don't think it's either a blessing or a curse... |

From my point of view running order matters in case some good song is sandwiched between my top 2 as it might not convince me then. Or the reverse situation when there are a few songs I don't care about and one okay song in the middle which catches my attention which might not if it was between my top 2. But there can't be done much, as the opinions are subjective. I just noticed this above about myself. Probably plays a bigger role in final then in the semis. But that's just my opinion. You couldn't bothered to set the deadline one day later... Booooo  lol. Just kidding of course. But in that case they have to qualify without my support (or non-support lol). Good luck to everybody there. Btw. I somehow read 40 people have voted. 
I like that you posted the draw above . Still it's not like I'd have the songs in mind (and also out of interest in the others I still had to go to the wiki). Oh and If I may express something about the case with the British entry from somewhere above: I honestly expected it to be Shape of you. However imo it should have competed in #51 and then it'd have won by a landslide. It's still a top 10 song, but if I may be honest rather in the second half now. Still not gonna lie - It's not that I'd play it on repeat by myself and I'm also quite bored of it yet I enjoy it on the radio - I can easily see myself giving top 3 points. Btw. may I also mention  Ado si kjo then?  |
