SECOND ROUND - SECOND SERIES  We are back for the end of the second round. But before the beginning of our evening, let's receive a new unknown singer, Daniela Ardizzone. She is going to sing "Vanità" by Giorgia, a song of an extreme difficulty...

As we already said several times, your votes are very important because the battles are often very close. So if you want to insure the qualification of your favourites, vote for them! Let's have a look on the results of the first series of battles:
L'Aura 4 - Tony Colombo, Alessia and Emiliana Cantone 4
Danti and Giulia Penna 4 - Marianne Mirage 4
Gaia 6 - Giada Agasucci 2
Simonetta Spiri 7 - Ma Michelle 1
As you can see, Gaia and Simonetta Spiri won their battles with a big margin and are our two first qualified for the quarter-finals. But the two first battles finished in draws, so none of the songs is qualified yet. Like the two losing artists, they will need a wild card to go through. There will be at least three wild cards.
But before that, we have three more battles to launch. A victory is needed to access to the next stage.

Let's discover the eight qualifiers for the quarter-finals. The results of the battles were incredibly close. Only three contestants managed to win their battle - the four other battles ended by a draw 4-4. Here there are:
Gaia won against Giada Agasucci by 6-2
Simonetta Spiri had the largest victory by 7-1 vs. Ma Michelle
Luana and Romina Falconi won their battle against Manitoba by 6-2.
Those three songs are the three first qualifiers. Moreover, because of their large victories, we decided that they will be protected for the next round: they won't fight against each other.
Let's now see what we decided for the five wild cards.
COMMENTS IN SPOILERS PLEASE
Our first decision was the elimination of the three songs that lost their battle because there was a big margin and therefore their chances of final victory are objectively low.
That means that Giada Agasucci, Ma Michelle and Manitoba are eliminated.
We noticed that the songs of Ma Michelle and Danti and Giulia Penna were involved in a selection for San Marino for Own Eurovision Song Contest. Both were seriously beaten up by Giulia Luzi and Federica. We can conclude that "Kill Bill" would probably not perform as well as "Paracadute", just like "In tutte le cose" (because Marianne Mirage didn't succeed in winning her battle).
So we decided to eliminate Danti & Giulia Penna and Marianne Mirage as well.
We have now six songs left but only five will be qualified. The national selection committee has finally decided to eliminate Sonohra
So here are the songs that were saved:
